Many thanks to @xincinsin for hosting these past weeks. Welcome, @Cookiefiend , and thank you for your marvelous examples of repeated design and rhythm.

Belles du Mexique is a design that not only has repeated elements and lots of rhythm, but also the dancers are often sporting scarves like ribbons. Along with all the reds in my colorway, this happy scarf is a cheerful crossover on this cold and blustery December Sunday.

Ohmigosh - that’s perfect! And what a glorious color! ❤️❤️❤️
@Cookiefiend I agree with Tohu Bohu. It may mean chaos but I find perfect rhythm in it. I may have a chaotic brain :woot:

ahahaaa! I love it!
Lovely Amours, and so beautifully symmetrical! (Also - that bee jacquard )

Good First Sunday of December Scarflandia!
5 December 2021 - Sense of Rhythm - scarves with a repeated pattern or design structure.

Rhythm means ‘any regular recurring motion’. But we all know it means so much more.
It’s also the timing of events on a human scale, the spoken word in poetry (though you can also hear it in your mind) and lyrics, musical sounds, and the steps of a dance - queing Dick Clark from American Bandstand (a blast from my past)

It’s got a good beat, and you can dance to it! Woot!

Rhythm can also be a pattern, a regular repetition in a design. Our brains are wired to find patterns everywhere, it can help us make sense out of chaos.
Speaking of chaos - Tohu Bohu - an excellent example of making sense out of chaos

(Of course it can also make us see faces in the wallpaper - ask me why I don’t have any wallpaper at my house - which isn’t such a good thing.:panic:)

A design that shows “repetition” in its design is Cuivreries, it’s a pleasing layout of horse bridles and so easy on the eye.

Anywho - this week we find our sense of rhythm!
Dancing not required but always welcome!

Wonderful introduction @Cookiefiend! And I agree with @turfnsurf that the Snoopy dance was the best part of Peanuts but Dick Clark was pretty great, too! And of course, rhythm in poetry-- I will have to look for an iambic pentameter scarf  Your Tohu Bohu is so beautiful... but you have me  at your wallpaper comment!

Such a beautiful CW of this design. The best blue!! (Do we know the official color name?) And the scarf ring!
Momasaurus, thank you! I did not know the official colorway name, but research tells me it is jean/caban/noir, a slightly confusing name - maybe it’s supposed to be bleu jean. Caban translates to “pea-coat”. Any input, dear Scarfies?
The scarf ring is from Marina in California. She’s on Etsy and EvilBay.

I remember a total lace Hermes scarf appearing in several resellers' inventory over the past two years. Astronomical price of course. (Totally not tempted, I promise you ... well, maybe I was ... just a little ... :giggle: )

I love @paula24jen's Doigts de Fee. Here is mine in red to close this fanciful week. Shown here with Paddock which has many ladies in ribbons and bows and lace!
