Thank you so much for sharing this fascinating info!

I am heading out to a lecture and my actual SOTD is on theme: the rhythmic, looping decorative bridle straps of Grand Tralala!

Lovely - the loops are almost hypnotic and this is such a great colorway!
Thank you so much for hosting the past weeks, @xincinsin! I marvel at at the lovely scarves you introduced me to!

What a great intro, @Cookiefiend! Very much looking forward to how this week will develop.

Here is my first contribution: Au Coin du Feu. Knitting definitively is a recurring pattern. I love the christmassy interpretation of Ex Libris.

:faint:
Stunning... it's so beautiful and I love the 'label'! So clever!
It is a gusty 7 deg F this morning. Here is a quick shot of my scarf of the day.

EEEEE :panic:
7 degrees! I'm not ready yet.... we had rain, hail, and thunderstorms last night - which is pretty weird for December... I know that 7 degrees is on the way but brrrrr!
That flaming red scarf is sending me warm and toasty vibes though - it's marvelous!
Here is my contribution this morning-- the slightly dizzying graphics of Les Ailes de la Soie--shown tied as I am wearing it (beautiful glass scarf ring by our own @bunnycat!) and also draped on the mannequin to show the scarf's repetitive energy...

I love this design... and I've pulled the blue cw for this week - Great minds think alike! :hugs:

Good First Sunday of December Scarflandia!
5 December 2021 - Sense of Rhythm - scarves with a repeated pattern or design structure.

Rhythm means ‘any regular recurring motion’. But we all know it means so much more.
It’s also the timing of events on a human scale, the spoken word in poetry (though you can also hear it in your mind) and lyrics, musical sounds, and the steps of a dance - queing Dick Clark from American Bandstand (a blast from my past)

It’s got a good beat, and you can dance to it! Woot!

Rhythm can also be a pattern, a regular repetition in a design. Our brains are wired to find patterns everywhere, it can help us make sense out of chaos.
Speaking of chaos - Tohu Bohu - an excellent example of making sense out of chaos

(Of course it can also make us see faces in the wallpaper - ask me why I don’t have any wallpaper at my house - which isn’t such a good thing.:panic:)

A design that shows “repetition” in its design is Cuivreries, it’s a pleasing layout of horse bridles and so easy on the eye.

Anywho - this week we find our sense of rhythm!
Dancing not required but always welcome!

what a nice kick-off, Cookie, thank you! And the perfect scarves to go with...

@Cookiefiend I agree with Tohu Bohu. It may mean chaos but I find perfect rhythm in it. I may have a chaotic brain :woot:

Nothing subdued here, RBH - this is a red par excellence.

Both seemed perfect for this theme. I can't wait to see the blue. I have also a green one, I loved it so much!
Twins on this Pucci-esque beauty!
:hugs: à cause toi, dear @Croisette7! I saw it first on you and went a-hunting last spring. Now I have two Ailes!!!
lovely, LKBNOLA!

That is simply gorgeous!

Ok, dear Scarflandia, asking your indulgence as I share my scarf mail that finally caught up to me in NOLA! Thanks to @Redbirdhermes (and others) for inspiring me to seek out the 140 wash of Le Pegase d'Hermes. I discovered that I enjoy wearing the 140 silk in a wash version, so this joins my Kelly en Perles in my small but growing 140s family. I was too excited to change my top!

PS I think all the writing on the scarf fits our theme? Maybe not iambic pentameter but some kind of writing rhythm!

Woo Hoo!!!! Congratulations - it's gorgeous!

We all love having our ducks in a row - or at least pretending they’re in a row! There is something pleasing in a regular formation, a straight line, in knowing that A follows B.
Here’s a few neat and tidy’s!
Alliance Franco-Anglais (also please note SockMonkey's photo bomb :giggle:... he is not symmetrical in any fashion!)
