I went to lunch today with three dear friends and fellow Italian teacher abd students. We had a long and leisurely visit and lots of laughs. Here is my SOTD in my attempt at the heart knot on MaiTai’s scarf app. Animapolis and regate ring on a leather necklace. Eye pin a a handmade beaded number given to me by my good friend, Sue, who was part of our foursome.

Wonderful colors, @Karenska ! Just what we need this time of year (or, come to think of it, all the time….)

Thank you, Turf! I love it, too - one of my fav, fav gavs. Sometimes I pair it with my Lifesavers-colored Pegase Pop for a festival of color.

Absolutely smashing together

I was looking for elaborate hairdoes or hats.
I like this lady's fancy bonnet, the ribbons twirling as she dances.

And there's this geisha with multiple combs and hairpins. Her obi, as @Cookiefiend pointed out, is one giant ribbon!

Next are the merrymakers of Cavalcade de Mai who have adorned themselves with leafy necklaces and crowns, astride their beribboned mounts.

But this chap takes the cake with his amazing hat!

Lovin’ these examples... especially that pretty geisha

Good morning, Scarflandia! We are back in New Orleans and about 80% of our rentrée is done. And most important I am happy to report that the silks and new csgms have been unpacked and placed on their designated shelf. An as yet unnamed scarf mannequin has been assembled so I can continue my knot adventures. Too many days of beautiful mod shots, creative stylings, theme interpretations and new-to-me designs to comment on each one, but I am looking forward to resuming my early morning TPF routine this week. Today we have our building's "Ladies Lunch" at the iconic Clancy's restaurant in Uptown New Orleans and I am reprising this outfit with Reves de Corail, which has some embellishments so maybe it is on theme. (And it is blue and silver for Hanukkah!) So happy to see all your gorgeous silks and wonderful smiles!

Glad you’re safely settled... that tie creates such interest of the scarf’s center

Totally bedecked in jewels today with Parures de Maharajas

Bea-u-ti-ful!
This reminds me of Steel Magnolias:
“Shelby- My colors are blush and bashful. I have chosen two shades of pink, one is much deeper than the other.”

Such a great movie! And I think most of the characters would have been scarfies:flowers:

Me with Formule Chic today. First pic is from an innocent time where I was happy and blissfully ignorant of the fact that I must have accidentally stained my scarf with fountain pen ink months ago and didn’t know it. The last two pics are of the stains. I tried to use silk cleaning spray but it’s a lost cause, sadly my beloved scarf will be a wabi sabi.

The good news is that they’re surrounded by similar shapes and aren’t very noticeable. Maybe your dry cleaner has a silk-safe solvent for ink?
It’s still very beautiful... :flowers:

Thanks! I don’t trust my dry cleaner and the ink has been there for a while… but I am consoling myself with the fact that this was probably the best scarf to get an ink splotch on!

Decorative Frontaux et Cocardes [browbands and rosettes] with tassels!

Harnais Francais is on my vintage wishlist. But I'm in the throes of indecision regarding cw :faint:

Good wabi sabi attitude! ITA with @turfnsurf, the stains are at a location where they practically blend in. Silver Lining!
