Such a delightful silk. Perfectly tied to showcase that pretty hem. :girlsigh:

One of my favorite combinations when I want a little happy happy on. I think I only bring it out over the holidays oddly . Must be the festive in the air. There are ribbons within the desserts.View attachment 5263514
Your sweater was made for that scarf!
That look deserves to be repeated

Head scarf: Mountain Zebra
Tube top: Battery New York

I still need to learn how to wear my scarves as scarves lolView attachment 5263523
Kudos for maximizing scarves per outfit... your pair harmonize beautifully :flowers:

Sangles are ribbon-like, yes?

Absolutely- I’m in love with this pink/green/red color combination

Yesterday at the Gardiner Museum exihibit on Venice. The Gardiner is a gem of a museum specializing in the ceramic arts.
Wore Sous l’Egide de Mars which is sort of on theme with its decorative details
Since there have been some discussion of lace, I’ve included some pictures from the exhibit of Venetian lace, which had a stylistic impact on ceramic designs. The scalloped edges of the bowl was influenced by lace and here is a beautiful plate.
Beautiful Sous l'égide and thank you for sharing the pictures.

love paperoles! Great tie like moma said.

Can’t wait to see your cw!

I would love a paperoles but can’t nail down a cw. Wanted to share this interesting find I found this week at a small German Christmas market in Quebec. One of the Christmas decorations was a metal take on paper rolling art! Don’t know the technical name.
All I could think of while staring at it was the paperoles scarf lol. If you zoom you can really see the “paper” curls all over, Tough to photograph.

Thank you, Turf! I love it, too - one of my fav, fav gavs. Sometimes I pair it with my Lifesavers-colored Pegase Pop for a festival of color.

I was looking for elaborate hairdoes or hats.
I like this lady's fancy bonnet, the ribbons twirling as she dances.

And there's this geisha with multiple combs and hairpins. Her obi, as @Cookiefiend pointed out, is one giant ribbon!

Next are the merrymakers of Cavalcade de Mai who have adorned themselves with leafy necklaces and crowns, astride their beribboned mounts.

Such a beauty! Thank you for showing these photos from the museum - I have some lace that was made by my 3 x Great Grandmother - every time I take it out to look at it, I am astonished!
(she made it for my 2 x Great Grandmother's wedding suit (I think it was a suit))
I have an archive photo to contribute to this week. Robe du soir!:flowers:

SOTD Copeaux - stretches the theme with its wood curl ribbons. A CSPM and high-pile (I’ve dubbed “muppet”) jacket is a super cozy combo

Good morning, Scarflandia! We are back in New Orleans and about 80% of our rentrée is done. And most important I am happy to report that the silks and new csgms have been unpacked and placed on their designated shelf. An as yet unnamed scarf mannequin has been assembled so I can continue my knot adventures. Too many days of beautiful mod shots, creative stylings, theme interpretations and new-to-me designs to comment on each one, but I am looking forward to resuming my early morning TPF routine this week. Today we have our building's "Ladies Lunch" at the iconic Clancy's restaurant in Uptown New Orleans and I am reprising this outfit with Reves de Corail, which has some embellishments so maybe it is on theme. (And it is blue and silver for Hanukkah!) So happy to see all your gorgeous silks and wonderful smiles!
