Your sweater was made for that scarf! One of my favorite combinations when I want a little happy happy on. I think I only bring it out over the holidays oddly. Must be the festive in the air. There are ribbons within the desserts.View attachment 5263514

Beautiful Sous l'égide and thank you for sharing the pictures.coming out of hiding…
Yesterday at the Gardiner Museum exihibit on Venice. The Gardiner is a gem of a museum specializing in the ceramic arts.
Wore Sous l’Egide de Mars which is sort of on theme with its decorative details
Since there have been some discussion of lace, I’ve included some pictures from the exhibit of Venetian lace, which had a stylistic impact on ceramic designs. The scalloped edges of the bowl was influenced by lace and here is a beautiful plate.
How beautiful! Thank you for sharing. Going to a German Christmas market this weekend.love paperoles! Great tie like moma said.
Can’t wait to see your cw!
I would love a paperoles but can’t nail down a cw. Wanted to share this interesting find I found this week at a small German Christmas market in Quebec. One of the Christmas decorations was a metal take on paper rolling art! Don’t know the technical name.
All I could think of while staring at it was the paperoles scarf lol. If you zoom you can really see the “paper” curls all over, Tough to photograph.

Oh so good! I had to google Danson le Capucine - it's a very catchy tune!I was looking for elaborate hairdoes or hats.
I like this lady's fancy bonnet, the ribbons twirling as she dances.
Chansons de France

And there's this geisha with multiple combs and hairpins. Her obi, as @Cookiefiend pointed out, is one giant ribbon!

Next are the merrymakers of Cavalcade de Mai who have adorned themselves with leafy necklaces and crowns, astride their beribboned mounts.
