Good morning Scarflandia! This week we celebrate a our favorite shade of orange (H of course!) and pink!
24 Oct 2021 Sweet Pink & Bright Orange: Cheery scarves against breast cancer and scary monsters
Sweet Pink and Bright Orange
Erm - did you know there’s not much that rhymes with Orange?
I only know terrible puns…
(Though they are lots of fun!)
But then I’d have to run.
Please don’t throw an Orange!

And on a more serious note - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, or even one of us has herself dealt with this. Wearing pink this month is to highlight the importance of awareness, education and research for this deadly disease.
Big or small, Let’s save them all!

A week of Pink,
(Scarves printed in colorful ink)
And the favorite orange of Hermes,
(Oh how that color does blaze)
Protects us from scary monsters that Shriek!
(But not too scary, or I won’t sleep)

Some archival pinks to start the week off including a shot of my H boutique last spring.
Thank you, @Julide , for your leadership in multiples. As you predicted, it is turning out to be an expensive week for me, with a sixth colorway of Les Artisans on its way, along with my first Pytheas.
My expectation is Pink and Orange week will be a wee less pricey, as neither color can be said to be a favorite of mine, but under @Cookiefiend ‘s leadership this week will certainly be a parade of glorious goodies.
I try to limit my purchases of orange scarves, but over the past couple of years, a few have slipped into my collection. I’m beginning the week with an orange scarf that is also a multiple of mine, the orange Breitling special edition of Reves d’Espace.

I'm posting a "double pink" to start off the week. Didn't intend this but last week during multiples, two pink Honore scarfs ended up suggesting a double tie (bias fold and then an attempt at an orchid knot at the bottom). PdS and Fleurs d'Indiennes!

Mail theft? Did I miss this? Our neighborhood has their share of porch pirates but I'm finding my office isn't always a reliable destination either.Quote-fest again.
I really enjoyed last week's multiples theme. I had meant to join in some more, but after the surprise tree service appointment to cut down some damaged trees (that necessitated me getting up at 7:30 am every day) and the mail theft mid week, the video test proctoring and now the remakes of the stolen packages, I am pretty much tapped out. Fortunately, a couple of my scarves can do double duty from last week to this week!
Beautiful intro! That Balle de Bulles is MAGNIFICENT!
Your beautiful hot pink JL makes me smile every time!
Beautiful scarves for this week rbh!
Super matching and tying LKB!
I really adore the "neutral" pinks here.
Beautiful orchard!
I still love that pink and orange gav. Kind of wish I had gotten one sometimes.... it's so cute!
That Della Cav Fav!!!!![]()
OMG the walrus!!! That alone is enough to make me add this to the wish list.Thank you, Nomad! That sweater us an aran knit from Ireland in a most gorgeous royal purple. I have so many beauties that work with it, too.
And congratulations on your spectacular Le Voyage de Pytheas, my very favorite cw. That hem is stunning against the blanc, beiges, greys and light blues. Well worth the wait as it crossed the deep blue sea on it own voyage. Here’s mine, which I love, as well. Trying to pick up the red journey markers with a red anneau.

Glurg - this thread is much like my ironing pile... if I don't keep on top of things it gets overwhelming. I attempted quotefests several times but after 32 pages there wasn't enough of @Julide greenery to repair my eyes. I do read every post and my like button finger once again has callouses. Thank you for all the lovely compliments and I kinda wish someone would leap in with a 'blecch' every now and then to encourage me to cull at a better rate.
This was such a fantastic theme - as we get into multiples we see passions truly come to the forefront and it's been an absolute delight to see what delights everyone to the nth degree!
From the archives, a couple of blecch-proof gavs. Pink is well-represented in the scarf drawer, orange a bit less-so. Hermes Electrique has pink and orange, and the other side is Quatre Chevaux from the men's collection

Thank you Fifi. It is a favorite for me and based on what was shown on this thread, a favorite of many scarf friends here on tpf. Your own collection was fabulous!Gorgeous Samourais! Each a completely different vibe
So interesting. Thank you for sharing. Your outfits and color combinations are so beautiful and inspiring.ok so I don’t own any duplicates but that doesn’t mean i never bought them. in fact, this is my walk of shame. i ended up rehoming all of them because of something that bothered me in each. I am pretty ruthless about keeping my collex to only scarvea that I love every time I wear them and with these i had to tie them a certain way or they just didn’t make me feel as good as i thought.. here goes - the first is the keeper the other ones are gone
cosmo (again always first pic is the one i kept)- the brown in this scarf clashed with my wardrobe and complexion. also didn’t love the smoke corner. I adore the blue green tho

Snausages, the animal life in LVdP is one of its most appealing features. I see seals, walrus, whales, deer, moose, bear, dolphins, penguins. Such a beautiful, sweet design.OMG the walrus!!! That alone is enough to make me add this to the wish list.

You do pink and orange together so well!
They're beautiful! What is the first one?
You make glass beads?! Lamp work? So glad it was not scarf mail that was taken (though some folks have no idea their worth)Yeah- I put some mail out and MrBcat found the box empty after his walk, with the flag still up. Then a couple of hours later the postman rolled by and put mail in the (empty) box....and none of the packages I put out got their tracking updated. So I am guessing they are now gracing the bottom of a bin somewhere... once the thief figured out it's just glass beads (and not jewelry or $$). And so now I get to redo them or refund....yay me...
But your HE is fantastic, especially with the black background for it. The Quatre Chevaux design is so cute, but I just can't do grey that shade at all so I have to pass up the men's stuff most of the time, unless I luck out on a bright color way of a fun design. Sadly, the punk horse one ended up the same for me...not enough contrast....though I loved the idea!
You do zebra so well! Heehee and if you want to rehome that gav….Orange is generally a no go color for me (unless there is lots of pink, purple or other color to balance it out!) But pink appears to be one of my go to colors, though I am choosy about the particular shade (Warm pastelCool pastel...
)
I got to wear my new ZP CS Giant triangle last week on the ONE cool day we had. Hoping for more soon! Plus it was on theme for last week too, as I (still) have the pocket square I was supposed to sell when I bough the triangle....and.....
