Not on theme again but another belated contribution to last week‘s theme: Bolduc au Carré next to the Doge‘s Palace and the Basilica di San Marco (in the background), close to where I bought it last year. It‘s terribly crumpled because it had to do double duty as a belt during the day before it cooled down at dusk and a wind rose from the sea.

fabulous, Thelittlefoxe, and enjoy your days over there!

Wearing my newest addition: Space Derby CW03~~

Great with the starry shirt.

Unfortunately, I read a couple of days ago that mayor of Venice is trying to bring back the big cruise ships to the lagoon - I guess there is just too much profit to be made for some people in power. The city suffers much more from these ships than it could ever gain from them. But hopefully they will not be back in full force any time soon.

Marvellous, this celestial blue is a truly serene colour and your royal blue shirt is the perfect foil for this beauty!

@Croisette7
Indeed, some of them are already back.
Plus UNESCO has put Venice on the list of endangered sites a few days ago.

Thank you!

Absolutely stunning on you, LKBNOLA!

Many thanks, Snausages!
Oh, thank you so much @Croisette7. I am so happy that you think so!
thank you so much, dear Thelittlefoxes!

like a precious cloud, Croisette!

what a nice way to wear this scarf!

Another great knot! Sisters on this one, LKBNOLA!
Always happy to be sisters @Agrume!
Very much off topic yesterday (about as much as you can be this week) with Tea Time, a bit of a surprise buy for me. And today Libre et équilibre, could work for men too.

What a great look with your blazer and scarf @Agrume! And speaking of interesting ties...Your tea time is very pretty in pink. Such a cute, clean design.

If you couldn't tell by now, I love men's scarves way more than the women's  I find them way easier to wear and they fit my casual style better. Excited for A/W'21 which seems to have some great men's designs!
Can't wait to see your A/W 2021 picks @ajaxbreaker. If they are even a fraction as great as your current collex we will be in for a treat when you model the
What a beautiful cw! I love the greens, blues and coral(?)...
I think its a beautiful scarf in all colors and what a fascinating tidbit to learn about the artist!
Safe travels!
Thank you so much, @Cookiefiend. KO was a design I very much liked but I never ever wore the one I had-- just felt overpowered by it until I got this one and yes it is definitely coral
Exactly!! Haha. Always wanted one but never found a cw. Enabling lkb haha.
Lovely! Just lovely in this muted color. I am having such trouble deciding on a colorway for teatime. I only have one yellow scarf but I like it on me, so thinking maybe the yellow.
 @Nomad re enabling. This whole thread is a Giant Enablement! The minute I saw tea time I thought of you with the hearts. So cute!
 I am planning on not doing quite so much this weekend.
Glorious!!! I really love Kawa Ora- congrats on your recent find!
Thank you @bunnycat. Luckily, I tripped over it on h.com and voila!
How about a few daring young men on the flying trapeze?

This is so lovely together-- blouse, earrings, scarf-- all perfect. (and I love the daring young men also...)

Great scarf on site photo! This one looks great on you, as do all your orange scarves! And of course, I am envious of your days in Venice...

These are all wonderful. I'm still looking for that Etalons with the red hem!

There must be a way to ban those horrible cruise ships from the lagoon!

This photo was definitely worth staying up late! The lullaby I was referencing is one of the most well known poems in German and I think the translation is poetic enough to convey both the meaning and the atmosphere of the original: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Der_Mond_ist_aufgegangen
I both loved and dreaded it as a child; maybe because children can sense from early on that this deceptively simple lullaby has a deeper meaning and was not intended for children in the first place.

A marvellous design and a marvellous cw. Your scarf knot shows it off to perfection and your mint green shirt brings out the soft side of this bold design.
Thank you for elaborating. Now I know the lullaby you mean-- there is a Joan Baez folk version that is very haunting. I think Bruno Bettelheim in The Uses of Enchantment talks about how children learn to negotiate fear and terror through story and, I guess song, too. I haven't read that book since my grad schoold days studying children's literature but even familiar prayers for children like "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" are pretty scary if you actually focus on the words. I think children faced a much harsher world in terms of mortality in the past, so these stylized renderings that seem so stark to the modern ear (and heart) were probably just a part of their reality. See why I missed your interesting posts? A silken trail from moons rising to abenlieder...

Here is my swan song for the theme week: La Danse des Chevaux. Sisters with @Cookiefiend and @Redbirdhermes.I think this is technically a unisex design since when I went to the boutique they pulled it from both but mine was with the women's blues. I just adore the design. It is my first double faced scarf and it really does feel like two. I also think this "gris perle" silvery thing H has going on is perilous for me...

Yesterday with Bains d’Hermes. I think all the CWs of this men’s cotton piece were great!View attachment 5120912
Smashing look Moma!
These are both gorgeous. That soft yellow makes me love yellow! I already adore grey and greenish-grey. And dots (awesome blouse!).
Circus is a beautiful shade of yellow, but the pops of pink are perfect! Thank you for your complements! ❤️
