My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Today - casual friday - Ex-Libris les ParisiennesView attachment 4702677
Isn't every day casual Friday at least for those of us who lucky enough to work from home! I admire all of you who have the discipline to wear a scarf even if you are not going out because of stay at home orders. Personally, I have been tending to live in sweats (though if things continue as they look like they will, wearing sweat pants may slide into wearing pjs!). Maybe we should start a week of scarves and sweats?
p.s. Your Parisiennes is very pretty with your blue top. Hope you are able to stay at home and be safe.

Thanks, Canuck. Yes, fortunately I can work from home. Casual today because all my meetings today are call-in, rather than skype or zoom. Granted, no matter what the top looks like, I have been wearing jeans this week! Scarves and sweats week? Brilliant idea! Stay well.

Ooooo - I really like this!
Working from home now but decided to put on a scarf this afternoon since it is Friday. This one was the first I ever bought. Testing my orange boite lipstick for the first time.View attachment 4702679
A lovely orange!

just a p.s. I'm also very impressed with all of you continue to wear make up (I'm make up challenged at the best times) and whose hair still looks gorgeous. I'm in desperate need of a haircut - broke down and trimmed my bangs myself with mixed result - but small worries in the scheme of things.
Count me in the makeup challenged group, and right now I'm only wearing mascara. But I do put on a bit of lippy for the scarf photos.
I did find a youtube channel though that I'm really liking - it's called Hot and Flashy (which is a terrible name IMO, but she chose it because at the time she was having a lot of hot flashes ). She's 58 (I think) and looks amazing - but she has tutorials for mature women (and I'm almost 60, so hello mature) who don't wear make up and want to maybe improve their appearance a bit. She's been doing the channel for 5 years maybe, and over time you can see how she's changed by using the products she does… though she has had some cosmetic procedures done too.
I'm letting my hair grow so getting a cut/trim isn't too important… but erm… my mousey brown roots are starting to show! Oh well - like you say 'small worry in the scheme of things!
Hugs to you sweetie! :hugs:

Love this on you, Nahreen. Which is it?
And the lipstick looks great. Do you like it?
Glad you are staying well and able to work from home.
Thank you Awillow. Glad you are well too. Yes I like the lipsticks. I need to check if it is still there after a few hours. This is Parcours d'H. I was a lot less bold back then in 2013 when it came to patterns.

Tlamdang08 - I love this look. So creative and pretty.

I hope you feel better today. This is an unsettling time. "Seeing" you and the others here makes my day brighter - a bit of the outside world and conversation with friends. I am glad you are here! :hugs:
:heart:Thank you, dear. I feel better today and my goal today is to fix the sewing machine so I can start to sew masks for my family and employees. There is a long article about why we should wear a mask. I attach a picture if not appropriate Mod can remove it.
May I share something I did yesterday, please.
the masks I sewed ( by a Lock machine and hand-sew) have an opening under the chin to insert a vacuum cleaner bag ( I cut them into a sheet That big enough to cover mouth and nose)
Stay healthy and safe everyone.:heart::heart:

Oh, I wore Jardin sur le toil (because I miss French so much.) and on top of that Tout en Carre medium to keep me warm.
