My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

< Le sigh > so many beauties!
Thanks so much!

Lovely, fifi. Twins on the Jeu des Omnibus Remix. And I adore that cw of Indian Dust! Lovely!
Thank you so much! And, always happy to be twins!

Many thanks, fifi!

Oh, one more pink Indian Dust here ... so beautiful!
Thanks so much!

So many lovelies! I adore your Savana Dance CSGMs... Sigh! And, the yellow flowers on the border of the Zambeze is the most amazing pop! What a glorious CW!

For @Living.la.vida.fifi, the original Jeu des Omnibus and Gianpaolo Pagni working on his interpretation of it.
The rainbow is just because I'm so happy that it finally rained today :yahoo:

Aaaah! These pics are great... Many thanks for sharing!

Just beautiful!
Twins on a few.

Croisette you have the best colorways! These are just fabulous!
Thanks so much!

Anamorphee’ s NDOP - I love the white hem on my colorway and the bold Juane. Such a versatile scarf.

Anamorphee’s Ex-Libris A Carreaux - It goes without saying that the mint green hem is what drew me to this colorway.
I always love to see your Ndop! Such an elegant and versatile CW... It never came t my store or I would have surely snapped it up... And, I must say that ELeC is one of my favorite designs ever... Such strong graphics and so wearable! I own one CW but would love to add a second... Love yours!

To make up for pushing the envelope of the theme - here’s a couple cool examples of collaboration!

Monsieurs et Madame II - Bali Barret and R Dallet

Collaboration is the action of working with someone (or something) to produce or create something. Well - I *think* Carre en Carre by Bali Barret is an excellent example of working 4 different scarves together in a most harmonious way!

Great examples! The Carre en Carre is fabulous... Ties so beautifully!

That brown CW is fantastic!

This CW was actually my favorite, but I really needed a mostly blue scarf at the time, so went with mine... Yours is such a striking beauty!

You can try the Wardrobe Accessories forum which seems to have some non-designer-specific scarf threads. But do join us here - you can contribute opinions and compliments even if you don't have H

Hello, Pammbw. I can’t answer your question and I am sure someone here can answer it, but what brands of scarves do you like? If it’s not appropriate to have back and forth about other brands here on this thread, please feel free to start a conversation with me.

Thank you both for the replies! I will definitely be hanging out here and admiring all the beauties. I love vintage scarves, Liberty of London being a favorite. My dad went on a business trip to London when I was a kid and brought me back a Liberty scarf, and that's how my love of scarves began! I love to comb thrift/antique shops for accessories. In all my 40 years of thrifting I have scored many fantastic finds but never an Hermes scarf (a real one, lol)

So happy to have you join us on this thread! I have also been thrift-store and antique-store shopping for decades and much of my costume jewelry was acquired that way. I also love Liberty of London scarves and not only collect Hermès, but also own many made by other design firms. If you are on Instagram, I have an account there by the same handle where I share my other scarves as well and also post about my fashion jewelry... just in case you are interested. You are always welcome here on SOTD!

@Nahreen are you in Sweden ? We here that there is no lockdown and everything is open. Is that the case?
Yes that is correct but things change daily here. Personally I refrain from contact with people except grocery shopping. Can work from home. Not much opportunity to show off scarves now but decided to wear one home this afternoon since it is Friday. Will make a separate post for this.

.... I have failed as a Scarf Mistress...
how do I knot have this one!?! It’s beautiful! ❤️

Beautiful, and beautifully tied! ❤️

Thanks, cookie! It is still on the website here in the US (though who knows when it would ship.) I love it!

I’ve not seen this colorway modeled before. It’s so pretty!!

Thanks, Magjes! :flowers:

Thanks, fifi! Love your jungle loves today!

Very happy to hear you are well, which is the main thing right now. There will be plenty of scarf opportunities, there has been government advise (!) to wear a scarf or a bandana like a face mask. Not to try to buy and hoard the actual masks because they are needed by front line workers. Basically the advice is to cover your mouth and nose. It’s not full protection but it somehow minimises the virus spread.
