My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

OMG! Those varieties of Chasse en Inde are gorgeous! This is a design I’ve toyed with getting. Many on the second-hand market.
Thank you Karenska!

PM = petite model = 90 cm

Thank you so much... It would be perfect for you as you wear yellow so well and are adding more of it into your scarf wardrobe

Haha! Thank you so very much! We could have easily spent hours there chatting!

Aaah, thank you so very kindly

Thank you so very much!

This is magnificent! What a wonderful CW! I can just imagine it on you!

Thank you so very much, dear

This design works best as a CSGM, IMO... You have the most gorgeous and varied array of colors... Fabulous!

BdG Shadow is such a genius design! I love this CW and the way you’ve tied it to show the stripes rippling. And, my comment wishing you a happy birthday somehow didn’t post, so here’s a belated wish for a wonderful year!
Thank you fifi ... I have more CeI but will not overload, it's one of my fav designs.

Thank you very much fifi! And your comment just reminded me that I DO own another BdG - the BdG Shadow pocket square which I was inspired to get after seeing your mod shots of the same cw in the 90 format! So here are my BdG Shadow 90 and BdG Shadow pocket square together.
The gav is really a cutie, ajaxbreaker!

I’m surprised that Le jardin de la Maharani has not been mentioned yet. This design has a special place for me since it’s the first 90 I bought for myself.

DH gifted me a CSGM later that year for my birthday.

I was not 100% convinced by the Recadré version (I missed the animal parade) but I did buy a gavroche.

This version has been issued on twilly, CSGM and losange.
My SOTD is the last addition to my Maharani collection, a CS medium losange

I'm not sure Brides de Gala has been issued in enough formats to be considered for this week.... :roflmfao:

Here with my new BdG Quadri mousse:

And Carre en Carre has a bit of several things that have seen multiple releases and formats. BdG, Tigre Royal and Pani la Shar Pawnee:

Here are some of the other parts of CenC. Tigre Royal 70 (it's been a pocket square, CSGM, a 90, bandana and a 70):

And Pani la Shar Pawnee...too many issues to count! Here with the silk taffeta charm triangle:

All fabulous, bunny ... and congrats on your new moussie!

And, now, a Brides de Gala fest. The only format I own in this timeless design is in the 90, and the gavs I borrow from my DD. But, although mainly 90s, I am happy to own so many wonderful editions of this classic, which was issued on my birth year. The funny thing is that I didn’t particularly like this design much when I started to seriously collect H scarves and my first original version was a sentimental gift. But, as I came across recent editions of the design, I fell in love with it.
Here’s a collage of my original BdG and my two Brides Fleuries

And, my BdG Love in the special edition heart-shaped box, as well as the two Love gavs

I love all BDGs, many members don't. So nice you remind me of my Finesse somewhere!

So beautiful on you, Queenie!

Yesterday’s SOTD Caducee Rock, played with a bit for best tie wear. Such an amazing CS blend in its varying reactions to light in photographs.

I own Jeu de Cartes both as a 90 and as a twilly

And, L’Arbre du Vent as a 90 and CSGM... don’t mind one bit that they are both the same CW

Love these especially the MP! Still hunting for the perfect 90. I had the white one with orange trim but it did not suit me so she’s been rehomed.
Twins on the Jeu de Carres 90 and twilly!

My SOTD made me think about how H sometimes redesigns for reissues in other formats. I'm wearing Nothing but a Dreamer with Coupe de Gala gav. The 90cm version of Coupe had a more elaborate border, much like for the CSGM version of Fetes Venetiennes which had (IIRC) an extended border. Not every design is scalable. Nothing but a Dreamer is so detailed that it would just fuzz out as a gav but I would definitely buy it if it were issued as a 90 finesse. I find it interesting how H has so many ways to macro and micro a design. Some gavs show only a portion of the 90 design, like Jardin Maharani Recadre or Noel au Faubourg. I liked the losange redesign of Fouets et Badines shown by @MAGJES earlier (wishlisted!).

Still wishing for this Coupe de Gala gav. Gorgoeus.
This is the blog that got me interested in L'ivresse. Still haven't encountered a cw that makes my heart beat faster, but I know it's out there somewhere :amuse:

I missed it first time round. Exactly one piece came to my H, but it was snapped up in an instant. Then someone else on tpf decided to get the tabac Della Cavalleria instead, and asked me if I would be interested to take this over :P
I've worn it a few times. Only when I go somewhere cold... I like that I can fold it to be plain or fancy.
