My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Twins with you on LB......so you must keep! Just kidding....we seem to be twins on so many....
I like how you are wearing in the last pic. Very chic.
Try pairing it with something grey!
I’ve taken a quick pic of how I wore mine last week. I liked it with a grey sweater as it seemed to pull out the grays in the dogs.

This reminds me I have been wanting the orange one and forgot about it...

Yours looks very elegant.

Just for fun, two more categories:

One of the things I’ve enjoyed the most about scarves is creating and playing around with knots. I don’t think I’m particularly great at this, certainly not in the way that some others are, but it’s just fun. Sometimes I envision a knot in my head and try it, fail, but accidentally come up with something else that I like even more. My favorite knot award goes to this beauty, which I like the most with my Foret.

And my last award is what I like to call the “you almost got away” award, which I give to my Jardin a Sintra. I bought this scarf as a compromise color that I convinced myself wasn’t really a compromise (it was), then opened the box, didn’t like it, told myself I liked it, secretly hated it, then complained about it multiple times, then decided to sell it and even listed it, then woke up and decided I loved it and freaked out that someone might buy it, then harassed Foxy Trini by sending her multiple pictures of me wearing the scarf over the course of days asking her if this scarf is better than I thought, then decided it looked good with camel, and ultimately kind of fell in love with it. It was a close call, JaS, but now you’re mine forever! Special thanks to Foxy for indulging what is clearly my total lunacy, but I figured if anyone can understand this madness, it’s all of you!

Well, now you have to keep that Jardin! Looks really good on you.

Really enjoying all your scarf awards - lovey way to end/begin the year.

A very Happy and Healthy New Year to you all!

Last but not least my CSGM of the Year - PeF, and not only because it was my only CSGM bought this year (although there is that)

Where does one get Liberty PJs?!!

For the record I think you have advanced knotting skills. I have like two knots in me and that’s it! Anyone who can dole out 3-5 mod shots with different tying is in the advanced category in my humble opinion. Secondly, I live for a scarf-mergency. Not sure I truly “help” it’s more like gentle enabling.
"Scarf-mergency" LoL!!!! Somehow this concept has theme potential but I'm not exactly sure what it is yet.

Hahahahah! So loved going with you on this rollercoaster journey with Sintra! So glad that you kept it as it suits you so well, and it is such an exceptional design! I know you would have eternally regretted getting rid of it. And, that Foret is so wonderful! Must try this knot...
Also, I am so glad at the larger scale of your pictures! My tired, myopic eyes thank you!

Haha thanks, Fifi! I just figured out how to do this.

You have a wonderful sense of color -- all these look amazing on you.

Ughhhh that really sucks. I must have bought ~20 scarves from TRR in the past few years, and I have never had any issues. I do know it's hit or miss though...

Very cool. Do you know anything about the tarot cards? I would love to learn about the ones on this scarf. I understand that they all have a meanng.

Wow, that Parure is entirely jealousy-inducing. It looks beyond amazing.

23 scarves -- not bad!!! The ones you are wearing really suit you -- here is to a great 2021 year, too!
Most of my experiences with TRR have been positive, except for one scarf that was listed as having a label when it had actually been removed, another that was in worse shape than described and my navy PdS CSGM that I recently posted that had actually been pierced by the plastic thingy that attaches their tags

Ok... need a follow-up comment here as well... I tried on the red Acte III several times at the store after I had chosen my “purple clouds” one... I loved it on me and really wanted to add it to my collex, but there was sooo much I wanted from that season that I got sidetracked, but it’s always been on my mind... It is amazing! And, I must say that also yours, the raspberry/purple is gorgeous...
Thanks! Looks like the red Acte III has haunted several of us!

There is that red Acte III staring right at me... I love it so much, and have a feeling it will end up being mine... The other two are so fabulous! Great choices

One of my purchases this year is L’Entente Cordiale. In French, it means ‘cordial agreement,’ and there were several such agreements that took place over the year. It refers specifically to the relationship between the UK and France. In 1843, Queen Victoria visited king Louis-Philippe at the Château d’Eu. This was the first a British sovereign visited France since Henry VIII (which was in 1532 if I am not mistaken, and it had largely to do with Henry figuring out how to get rid of his first wife in favor of Anne Boleyn).

The meeting took place at Chateau d’Eu in Normandy, and this scarf was a special edition dedicated to that, I assume to the 150th anniversary of the visit. It’s a 1994 edition by Loïc Dubigeon.34409157-0D6D-4DD0-ADE1-9A1994D0C880.jpeg

Aaah, wasn’t aware of the history behind the design... Now I love it even more...
This is a great vintage design. You look amazing

Oh my!
Its late and my eyeballs are tired - but I must ask if you would post this flat when you have time? ❤️

I'd make Pacifier Scarf a theme, but I don't want to encourage this ... errr, do I?
(stern mummy hushing all her protesting pacifier scarves :nono: :console:)
I think you should totally make it a theme. It would be group therapy.

+100
