My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Awesome post Bunny! Your JL love shows through strong and true!
I love your CSGM... the green and lavender sing together.
Prolly a song like:
Soft kitty,
Warmm kitty.
Purr purr purrrrr ❤

edited to add... I love the way you tied LA... and now I’m kicking myself for not getting it when it was on the site a few days ago...

:cutesy: I aim to please! But I am very certain that due to my "obsession" with Jungle Love's subject matter, you could probably place me directly in the I-Will-Probably-Die-Trying-To-Pet-This Club.

Congrats on your JL collection! Perhaps the award should be called "Most Dedicated Pursuit"! Tales from the slippery slope ...

 Yaaas! That's perfect! And thank you!

Woohoo! Les Bassets! Definitely my favourite design of this season....and this cw is so lovely on you. It looks very adaptable. My tuppenceworth is that it's a keeper.
such a beautiful knot on your Artisans, BC. And as for your JLs, well, you go girl! What a super collection!

Thank you kindly Pautinka!

Twins with you on LB......so you must keep! Just kidding....we seem to be twins on so many....
I like how you are wearing in the last pic. Very chic.
Try pairing it with something grey!
I’ve taken a quick pic of how I wore mine last week. I liked it with a grey sweater as it seemed to pull out the grays in the dogs.

Yep! It's perfect with gray!

The dip dye is so pretty!!
The CSGM you have posted is just gorgeous....the purple mixed with green. Pure love.

Bravo on the tying of LA!

Thank you kindly MAGJES!

Really enjoying all your scarf awards - lovey way to end/begin the year.

A very Happy and Healthy New Year to you all!

In my Liberty lockdown PJs and clearly, this Year's Most Enabling Scarf Award goes to... all-red Act

Last but not least my CSGM of the Year - PeF, and not only because it was my only CSGM bought this year (although there is that)

Just for fun, two more categories:

One of the things I’ve enjoyed the most about scarves is creating and playing around with knots. I don’t think I’m particularly great at this, certainly not in the way that some others are, but it’s just fun. Sometimes I envision a knot in my head and try it, fail, but accidentally come up with something else that I like even more. My favorite knot award goes to this beauty, which I like the most with my Foret.

And my last award is what I like to call the “you almost got away” award, which I give to my Jardin a Sintra. I bought this scarf as a compromise color that I convinced myself wasn’t really a compromise (it was), then opened the box, didn’t like it, told myself I liked it, secretly hated it, then complained about it multiple times, then decided to sell it and even listed it, then woke up and decided I loved it and freaked out that someone might buy it, then harassed Foxy Trini by sending her multiple pictures of me wearing the scarf over the course of days asking her if this scarf is better than I thought, then decided it looked good with camel, and ultimately kind of fell in love with it. It was a close call, JaS, but now you’re mine forever! Special thanks to Foxy for indulging what is clearly my total lunacy, but I figured if anyone can understand this madness, it’s all of you!

ooooh- have I been there before with your Sintra problem! I feel ur pain! I'm glad you kept it because the colors are lovely.

And beautifully tied on your Foret!

omigoodness! I love the Act iii with the PJ look!

I had that happen with Acte III. I loved the red cw in the stock photos. I loved it even more when @papertiger modshot hers. I went to H with high expectations of saying "Take my money, take it, take it!" ... and somehow it just didn't look the same IRL for me. I still bought 3 other cws of that design, but I've always felt like I missed out on the red. Doesn't help that it is still available on the local h.com and I get dissociative amnesia each time I see it - my finger moves to click "Add to Cart"
Let me add this as well......I also saved a picture of you and your LA Cite. (I believe it was you). It was the red/white colorway. Still want it too.
I think it’s great that I can save pics of people wearing scarves I like and no one here thinks it’s weird!

For the record I think you have advanced knotting skills. I have like two knots in me and that’s it! Anyone who can dole out 3-5 mod shots with different tying is in the advanced category in my humble opinion. Secondly, I live for a scarf-mergency. Not sure I truly “help” it’s more like gentle enabling.

The raspberry colouring is just so perfect for you....you need to buy more of it! Gorgeous.
Thank you. I can't remember the pink cw but I'm sure it's equally as gorgeous.
Oooooh, very, very elegant. I love it!
This cw has the same calming effect as water. It's a perfect match for the design.
Your losange/top combo is amazing!
Twins on the blue PdS Fifi....and am well jel of the ELEK. Stunning. Don't worry about having so many cashmeres.... you'll put them to good use when you visit me one Scottish summer!!!!!!
Aw, thank you kindly Karenska!
How could anyone forget your pics wearing blue PdS CSGM? It is so stunning on you and influenced my love of it...
And, my dream is to gallivant through the hills, valleys and streets of Scotland, and meet up for a coffee... perhaps being shawl twins!

4 of the scarves that joined me this year were vintage jacquards - I love the jacquards. Sadly 2 left not too after their purchase because they were not good colors for me. The 2 remaining deserve Oscarfs.
Best Supporting Scallop Jacquard (and the most puzzling*) - Alliance Franco-Anglais.

The Oscarf for Scallop Jacquard Vintage Beauty goes to Venerie des Princes.

*I couldn’t find this scarf for a long time in the Piwigo catalogue, but I knew it was H, and in the scallop jacquard. Do you know how long it can take to go through on random searches, looking at tiny, often blurry photo? The listing had terrible pictures and the seller was - erm - less than helpful. I didn’t pay much (@Redbirdhermes this would qualify for the Best for Least award too) and was a little worried it was going to be a disaster. It was in excellent condition though, just a little musty and wrinkled. Another question about it is, when was it produced? Piwigo has it as 1940, but our learned MT thinks it’s from the early 60’s because of the jacquard.
Buying vintage is usually a gamble for me. I'm still not convinced that the bright green in several of my vintage scarves is really "me" but I can't state definitively either that it isn't me

Your Venerie is such a beautiful cw, Cookie! Love the hounds coursing the border.

Cookie, that jacquard! You wear them so well... They are exquisite and I am forever in awe before them... When oh when will one of these treasures be mine? I need this jacquard in my life!

My Oscarf for "Best Design" of course goes to ... PeF! I was slow to get on the bandwagon but ended up with 2 90's and a CSGM, which is the most I have of any single design in my collection. Here is a family photo.

Great choice! Such an incredible design! And, you chose marvelous CWs... I meant to add another 90, and need to hurry up about that!
