My very best wishes to everyone for the New Year to all SOTD regulars, occasional posters and newcomers alike  .

The SOTD 2021 thread is now open and ready for business:

The new theme commences tomorrow (3 Jan - whenever your time zone gets there) but there's no reason why you can't post earlier if you want.

Twin on the Cent Plis and I had almost forgotten about the purple splashes here and there! The APdP is amazing in this CW... What a glorious mic of colors! And, I’ve been wanting a De la Mer au Ciel for the longest time that will work for me! I even returned one to TRR this year... But, I think that your CW is the one I need!
I was so pleasantly surprised when my De la Met au Ciel arrived. I was thinking it might be too dark but I absolutely love it.

Yay! Twins with you. :hugs:

THIS! Every so often my SA gently says that I could have a bag if I bought a few less shawls, scarfs & belt kits. However, to each her own, but I feel don't have a life that goes with a 5 figure handbag, so we just end up laughing about it.
I was planning on saving for a Halzan in early 2020 and ended up going down a scarf rabbit hole instead. Couldn’t be happier about it!

More shots of gorgeous scarves in the purple spectrum. Cosmos plisse in very royal colors. I do not wear this beauty enough :coolio:. View attachment 4932641Periwinkle in Sequences:

Kitty! And that Cosmos, wow!

So lovely, Anna, and congratulations on your Pani. I think 2021 will bring a few more KO’s. I am seriously smitten with his art and designs.

Thank you! I am still a bit on the fence about many of his designs -- this is my first. I find Kachinas disturbing (although I fully appreciate the history behind the scarf, and I think it is fabulous he celebrates the native American heritage). I also hate paying above retail for scarves... I *can*, but it just annoys me. Are you looking at any of his designs?

:hugs: Thank you so kindly, dear CanuckBagLover. I appreciate your generous compliment. Yes, my little girl is a domestic longhair with serious Persian breed looks. The wide horizontal face, the large round eyes, the luxurious coat; she definitely has royal blood running through those kitty veins. :hbeat: Her coat is much longer now for that photo was taken just after she was groomed. In full coat, she is part yak . Here she in July, coat growing out, wearing Jungle Love Love twilly. Had to work fast with that shot! View attachment 4932683

Looks at those giant paws  she is such a cutie

It's beautiful and I completely understand going the pre-loved route. A snag (or a ding on a preloved K) hurts a whole lot less than one on a brand new and pristine scarf (or purse).
I don't know what's going on with the mail/delivery services... I know it's a lot and more than last year - but they knew it was coming right? It comes every year at this time - right? I have a pair of earrings that have been out in the USPS wilds for almost 10 days now...

To be fair, I think the volume this year is many times the previous years. My husband was talking to one of the other mail companies (think: FedEx) for business, and they said that every regular week of this pandemic has been higher volume-wise than the Christmases of the past. So if these weeks are extra tough, I think there are truly logistical bottlenecks -- not enough processing and sorting capacity, etc. USPS is not that well-funded, so it's hard to resolve these.

Just popping in to present the love of my life: the special edition Cosmographia Universalis 90 (for the brighter future of Hong Kong). Purple banner so I’m on theme! No connections to get this beauty, just relentless stalking on Vestiaire until I lucked out. (Relentless is a mild word, I really wanted this scarf!) CU is my all time favorite design and I’m so happy to add this scarf to my collection of pastel CU scarves. For fun, I tied all three together :P.

Wow -- I didn't even know that existed! I really need this... I love Hong Kong and lived there before.

Such an elegant CW! Stunning.

26"! You win the snow prize! Here are a few of Shelby - lying in (on) the snow, head in the snow (she loves sticking her entire face in), dragging me (skating) down the alley, and hanging out in the backyard. She is a character!View attachment 4932782View attachment 4932784View attachment 4932785View attachment 4932787

So cute! I have been really enjoying everyone's pets recently -- always puts a smile on my face.

Coco’s “We go now Mutti, ja?” face... aka the “You no leave me behind” face

Quick run to the post office and bank - we don’t even get out of the car - in Sangles en Zigzag (SE Saut Hermès au Grand Palais 2017). I love this cw!
View attachment 4932834

Oh no, Coco didn't even get to go for a proper walk! Maybe I should adopt her since she is so clearly being mistreated :)

Scarf change - and not on theme. Attending an office holiday party in my gray sweats and we are playing virtual bingo. The world is wild. Changed into my
Feux du Ciel. My most neutral scarf!

Perfect match for the sweatshirt grey color :)

Thank you, Anna. It is an OSKA sweater, and like Hermes, they pay special attention to their dyes. It makes a difference, I think.

Thanks -- I will have to look it up.

It would be such a special scarf if you have that connection to Hong Kong! It came out earlier in the season, I first caught wind of it a month ago.

Shrpthorn, I hear you loud and clear. I am hopeless. My SA now realizes it is futile to talk to me about anything besides scarves and the occasional bracelet.

I went to the store in Chicago, and they brought out a bag (supposedly a "unicorn" though not a b or k). It was nice, and I occasionally think about a picotin. But then I realize how many scarves that could be!
