Pink so light and delicate in this 1954 Biarritz while Eugenie remains gorgeous surveying her villa. Different CW in that the coined columns do not draw from the border color to be two-color like the one in Fontan’s Carres d’art III or the one other I recall from online search. The others I’ve seen are much darker, so perhaps Eugenie has had a few fading baths in her 65 years. Very “Gone with the Wind,” ‘tho we know it’s France in the landscape.

@AnnaE —this became a birth-year grail as Dahlia and Toit de Paris Optiques proved ever out of sight— it leaped from unawareness right to grail overnight when spotted. And she is very, very spotted, will have to see about these stains.

Sweater via Banana Republic (silk & cashmere) last fall I think.

Glorious!!

SOTD:
Frontaux et Cocardes by Caty Latham (a fav’ artist of mine). A Frontaux is the Browband part of the bridal (typically more decorative in France, Europe and Mexico).
Also is an example of blanc matte; a special and difficult printing process of white pigment onto fabric.
I was so tickled when my first choice of pink was available in beautiful condition.
