Today I had Animapolis hang loose around my neck just in case I got cold at the church. After that just a Panoplie Equestre Twilly for the rest of the day.

Our theme this week - LA VIE EN ROSE - wear pink scarves for fun and for breast cancer awareness.

But also - on a more serious note - October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, or even one of us has been herself. Wearing pink this month is to highlight the importance of breast awareness, education and research.

It's the Russian Bride's Attire from the Legion of Honor Museum in SF (although it's not an accurate translation of the Russian title). It portrays traditional unbraiding a young woman's braid before marriage and braiding it into two braids instead -- that was a married woman's hairstyle. The clothing is spectacular! I always enjoy seeing it.

I thought it's a Russian theme, how wonderful the clothing is!
