Anthropomorphism is when we ascribe human characteristics to something non-human. So we find lots of fantastical talking animals or animals in human clothes or behaving like humans in H scarves.
Teddies in Confidents des Coeurs

Fairy Tales, horsehead "man" in Confessions, and scenes from Aesop's fables in Central Park.

Clovis in English and French, and a kingly lion and majestical duck in a couple of cute gavs.

Archetypes and personifications are a literary shortform when a single image represents a wealth of meanings and associations. H is very good at this when it comes to their own products and reputation.
Silk, parfum, leather goods and watches rendered into fantastical people in a set of sweet gavs.

And of course Super H, which not only is a symbol of H, but also in its multiple iterations indulges in a technique which I admire (yes, I'm a nerd) - Universe-Building. Not on the same level as Tolkien and Asimov, but hey, DR got me to buy 3 scarves which cost me more than my entire set of MiddleEarth tomes.

Wonderfully assembled and immensely enjoyed! thank you.

We had an Impulse Buy: Rave or Regret theme last year, I think. Perhaps we'll have something along those lines next year :girlsigh:

Check the scarf reference thread for tying tutorials, and MaiTai has lots of bias fold variations on her website. (Then come back and show us pics!)

Oooh, lovely!

 I'm trying not to be enticed by Jan's next scarf :frown:

I think I want this!
Sorry, maybe I put it wrong. I guess I didn't put my question very clearly. I don't need any help binding the scarves, but my intention ( as a newbie, completely non experienced forum member ) was to find out, if there is already a thread in which members present their versatile scarves. By this I mean that a scarf in a bias fold looks like a completely different one when folded in the opposite bias fold. Thanks.

Like, how many looks can you get out of one scarf? I don't think there is a thread for that exactly. We do have themes later this year on workhorse scarves and "magic" scarves which might be interesting for you. And do join in to show us how you max out the versatility of your scarves :flowers:

Thank you very much for the information. With great joy and excitement I will look at these themes later this year.

Usually scarves look completely different on the 2 biases if they are asymmetrical designs and asymmetrical color distribution.

@ILLYLOULOU96 , each year has its own Scarf of the Day thread. The first post in January lists the weekly themes for the entire year. You can check out those lists for when the "One
Scarf Worn Many Ways" - type themes are and see what's been posted historically. I'm not sure how many years this tradition goes back, but certainly the few recent years for sure. Happy hunting and do share with us your versatile finds!

Thank you so much Langsam! This is most helpful. You are welcome to laugh at me a little, I have to do it myself, because forum, threads, posts, all this is so new to me. Seems I will probably arrive slowly in 2019 ...

It's never too hot for a mousseline... yesterday.View attachment 4474206
I'm sorry it's off theme....unless you want to describe yet another variation of Brides De Gala (En Finesse here) as

an Hermes bad dream...dreams are fantasy, right?
The blue of your bag (a picotin, right?) is beautiful. Is it bleu Brighton or bleu Agate? It harmonizes well with your coloring and scarf ensemble. I held a bag in one of those beautiful blues next to me but the mirror said, nah! Get yellow. I do have a CDC in bleu Brighton, tho.
