OMG look at all that detail and the shading of colors!
I know! The details on it are so rich all over. (I do wish the border was more interesting though...)

OMG look at all that detail and the shading of colors!
For sure. Nobody is going to mistake me for a cowboy! But it's just a vibe I can't shake unless I'm wearing it with the most formal suit and shirt combo. It's kind of like my Hola Flamenca, which I pulled out to consider wearing this morning. (Mod shot with my sad-looking pajama shirt)Simply no way this elegant scarf with the somewhat muted sophisticated colors looks c&w. First of all, you'd need a ten gallon hat. And jean jacket. And well worn boots with mud on them. Or really fancy boots (for dresswear). Even if you substituted your jacket for the jean one you'd still have to have the hat and boots. I speak from experience -- I worked in ag. So, if you're wearing a bandana or Les Mustangs instead of RdS I'd say, ok, works for me.

It's quite a sophisticated scarf, but it screams Minnie Mouse and Hello Kitty to me. I tried tying it on as a top to show off the design. I think that's pretty fab. I'll have to try this under a blazer or with a tank top this summer.
I decided to wear my brand new Tuiga as the SOTD. I was so thrilled to find this with tags still on it. I've been on the hunt for this colorway for ever. It will be perfect for summer. It's still cold and wet here, so not the most seasonal choice. But I couldn't resist doing a test run. I love it with my red glasses; the red hem really coordinates and pops nicely.

Lovely with your pineapple top!Spending a very quiet afternoon reading on the lanai with Au Clair de la Mer - very cute and light but might not frame well... I’m OT! [emoji38]

Thank you, Anna!Tous le Bateaux would be a great scarf to frame for a house that has a nautical theme.
Beautiful -- thanks for sharing. They don't make these softer pastel colors much, either. I know we are getting brighter, crisp colors, but some of these slightly older ones are just so appealing.
That's a beautiful kitty -- ours is allegedly also a former feral, but he is a very confident guy who loves to nap on my silks
Thank you! I have had the bag forever, and it's super convenient for running errands. They are so inexpensive on the resale market these days, I might pick up another one as well.
Are you in Hawaii? That's a gorgeous color on you, and you really wear pochettes so well. What a fun design, too!
That's a great scarf, but I can see how it challenging to show off the design. Love the deep blue color though!
The Hola Flamenca is so beautifully tied, showing the full dress ... and congrats on your Tuiga grail, FugitiveRouge! For sure. Nobody is going to mistake me for a cowboy! Thanks! This is an old Les Tambours....They definitely don't make them like this anymore in terms of detailing....I'd say that's frame worthy. The color shading on the drums is wow! (Tiny is modeling...he is a very skittish ex feral...)

Rocabar looks great any way it's worn. Lovely purple here! So, I can *finally* participate in SOCT... And here it is - no theme except it was "cold & miserable" where I live (15 C or 59 F - ok, I'm a wimp).
An oblong Rocobar in Cashmere/Silk oblong shape purchased from a lovely lady (who is a member here *waves* lol). I fell in love with the colours & had to have it. No doubt a familiar story
Please excuse the appalling presentation as we've had some serious issues with our solar system and been surviving on generator power for a few weeks. This was yesterdays 'dress' as we went into town to fill up the Jerry cans with fuel for the generator. Today was spent inside a shipping container learning about electrical engineering. Turns out it's not as simple as 'turn on the power point'! And wiring in new parts (I *refused* to subject an H-scarf to that!).
DH has banned me from scarf purchases until further notice (a stole is not a scarf right?) so my new SOFT posts may be limited to my current collection :/ View attachment 4402347
Don't you have a scarf that had to be rehemmed because it had been mounted, glued, and framed? That got me thinking about getting a scarf cut down and rehemmed because of too-large border. Would anyone ever consider that?I know! The details on it are so rich all over. (I do wish the border was more interesting though...)
I love both these looks! Also: Minnie and HK are STARS! You can rock this Hola scarf. For sure. Nobody is going to mistake me for a cowboy! I have been thinking the same thing! There are a few designs I haven’t pursued because the border is just too big and plain. I have thought about getting it rehemmed to reduce the border to make it more wearable for my own tastes. If you have this done please post pics and all kinds of info!!Don't you have a scarf that had to be rehemmed because it had been mounted, glued, and framed? Happy Friday, everyone! This is not a knot that takes well to a selfie, but I tries. Terres Precieuses. I think I haven’t work this scarf ring in — literally — years.
