Thanks! I saw a character on a TV show wearing a scarf this way and thought it looked so cute that I had to try it out. View attachment 4400524

What a lovely scarflet! Have a fantastic journey and travel safe!

Contrast hems are some of my favorite features, too! What a beautiful collection you have

Pretty! But I like your version better! (More relaxed- and not screaming "high maintenance" ) Do you remember what you did on your version?

I am cleaning out my scarf drawer and sorting through which silks I would love to see framed.
Call me crazy but these contrast hems make me smile.

I'm alarmed that I can recognize more than half just by the borders :amazed: !!!
(This would be a good game - guess the scarf by the border or some usually overlooked detail)

lol- same here....
Mythes et Metamorphoses today. I have been thinking about what scarves I would frame, and I would frame most of them, space permitting.

This is probably not one of them though — a little too busy when unfolded, although I love how that design drapes.

She had just pointed out and named every animal on the scarf. She was amused that I had difficulty with the owl, but said that there was no other way to fit it into the design. I think @HermesHope wrote on her blog about a non-H scarf she has which also gave her this upside-down bird problem.
FYI This is going to be my challenge scarf for our 12 May theme - I'm going to experiment with different knots to see if I can get the various animals in view. Such small victories in life make me happy
What a great story! I wonder if she realized, when she created the design, that the owl would be upside-down, or whether she was just drawing it as an artist and not as a scarf-wearer?

And it will be interesting to see how you knot the scarf to bring the different animals into view. That was the main reason I ultimately decided not to purchase it... so many gorgeous animals, but it looked as though very few of them would show up. Then again, I'm not a very creative knotter, unlike so many others on this thread!

:girlsigh:This is really dreamy on you. I've been on a search for this grail for years, but haven't found the right color at the right price yet. Send me good vibes!

:annoyed: Tried to copy this look 5 times and epic failed  Maybe I'll find a triangular scarf and try again.

SOTD was Galop Volant for two reasons. First, I thought perhaps a design with a defined direction would be better suited to the wall than the neck. I then realized that a huge number of my scarves have a defined direction, so I tossed that theory. Second, I promised @lanit to do some modshots of this scarf, so two birds with one stone. Testing here to see if I get upside-down people/horses or the ubiquitous equine butt. Actually it tied quite well

That was one of the epic fail attempts
That flat rectangular front was difficult to achieve. The stiffer scarf you suggested might work. Archive photo of a new and stiff Acte III. If I tilted the angle and positioned the knot underneath, it might come close.

You're almost there!

Thanks! The stiffer scarf will make a more formal look. But I used a hand-washed and softened scarf. Basically, I folded it in half as a triangle, rolled up the long straight edge, and tied a cowboy knot with the knot under the point:

Voila! My SOTD is Acte III

I did basically the same but tucked one side of the triangle in to the tails where the knot is to pull the point over. I like it!

Disclaimer: pics are from the internet because I didn't have time to find mine. I have these cws.

If ever I was told: "Frame a scarf or your life!", Silhouettes Navale would be sacrificed. That's the red scarf. I liked the design but the first time I wore it, I looked down and felt a bit seasick (upside-down ships). I don't get that feeling with Retour de Peche which has ships in the other direction.
