:annoyed: Tried to copy this look 5 times and epic failed  Maybe I'll find a triangular scarf and try again.

SOTD was Galop Volant for two reasons. First, I thought perhaps a design with a defined direction would be better suited to the wall than the neck. I then realized that a huge number of my scarves have a defined direction, so I tossed that theory. Second, I promised @lanit to do some modshots of this scarf, so two birds with one stone. Testing here to see if I get upside-down people/horses or the ubiquitous equine butt. Actually it tied quite well

I think your second knot, clockwise from the top, is on the right track! Maybe try it with a more stiff scarf ? The look seems to require that the cowboy-triangle region have enough structure to remain flat on its own.

That was one of the epic fail attempts
That flat rectangular front was difficult to achieve. The stiffer scarf you suggested might work. Archive photo of a new and stiff Acte III. If I tilted the angle and positioned the knot underneath, it might come close.

I don’t have any scarves displayed as art- but love to wear these bits of art around my neck!
One scarf I have thought about mounting ( if I actually had any wall space), is En avant toute! Queen Mary 2 edition.
Only sold on board the QM2 during the first years of operation. I was lucky to find this on eBay .

Wow, red is your beauty-and-power colour @AnnaE! And I also loved your SD in the red cw -- quite unique!

Thank you! My store only had the marine colorway, so this had to be ordered from a different store, but it was worth it.

Beautiful -- not familiar with this design at all. I like the necklace with it!

I wonder if the not in question utilizes a smaller scarf... Will have to try with a 70 today.

I haven't backtracked yet to see what y'all were up to...but just sayin' I love this CE of Acte iii on you!

I adore this particular WACO NI colorway. I would enjoy seeing it on my wall.

This would be fantastic displayed!

Oh, regarding directional designs, I have to admit that I have not figured out how to get the snowy owl in Canadian Wild flying the right way up when I wear it. It is always upside-down. Bothered me enough that I actually told Alice Shirley . I usually end up hiding it in a fold.
Aaaaaand... what did AS say when you told her??? We want to know the rest of the story!!! :graucho:

She had just pointed out and named every animal on the scarf. She was amused that I had difficulty with the owl, but said that there was no other way to fit it into the design. I think @HermesHope wrote on her blog about a non-H scarf she has which also gave her this upside-down bird problem.
FYI This is going to be my challenge scarf for our 12 May theme - I'm going to experiment with different knots to see if I can get the various animals in view. Such small victories in life make me happy
