Not off topic for today: Yes, scarves do fade and should be kept out of direct sunlight. (I'd swap out a hanging scarf every month, myself.) The same would be true of any silk object.
Framing with UV-protectant glass could protect a scarf, but to make it lie flat the framer would probably have to use some kind of glue or stitch. I bought a previously-framed scarf that had an Elmer's-type glue along the back of the hem and when I washed and soaked it to get the glue soft enough to pick off, the thread (which was old) came apart, especially along one side. I had my boutique send it back to H, where it presumably went to a roulotteuse (hem specialist) in Lyon. It cost me $55 and came back a little smaller and with a new tag (!) You have to look closely to see where they cut off the edge of the old hem, but it's nice now.
