Yes, I absolutely agree, scarf1! I just added Dimitri R's abstract Cheval Surprise and I think some of the really modern linear pieces would be great too (and don't forget the men's collection!)Another scarf that would look great hanging on a wall is Paddock. I bought this because it seemed like a painting to me.View attachment 4398174 View attachment 4398175
Thanks @ABQ2ATL ! Good to know. While it is so inspiring to see peoples' framed scarves, when I thought about what I might frame, I came up with nothing -- I wear them all! Maybe that means I need more scarves? Not off topic for today: Yes, scarves do fade and should be kept out of direct sunlight. (I'd swap out a hanging scarf every month, myself.) The same would be true of any silk object.
Framing with UV-protectant glass could protect a scarf, but to make it lie flat the framer would probably have to use some kind of glue or stitch. I bought a previously-framed scarf that had an Elmer's-type glue along the back of the hem and when I washed and soaked it to get the glue soft enough to pick off, the thread (which was old) came apart, especially along one side. I had my boutique send it back to H, where it presumably went to a roulotteuse (hem specialist) in Lyon. It cost me $55 and came back a little smaller and with a new tag (!) You have to look closely to see where they cut off the edge of the old hem, but it's nice now.

This is stunning! What system is this? This wasn't DIY, was it? So cool! Can you change out your scarves fairly easily? Sorry for all the questionsI just put this up on my wall.... would be better if I iron the scarf, but I can’t wait to see the effect!View attachment 4397926View attachment 4397927
They are so gorgeous, I’m hoping to find one waiting for me when I get home this evening. That's lovely! I still have to decide on a colourway for Pivoines (either the bronze one or the white one, like yours).
Thank you so much! Of my 3 CWs it’s the one I wear the mostThe Kachinas cw is gorgeous!
Thank you so much!Wonderful on the wall! And on you too - I recall all those different looks you achieved with Au Bout du Monde!
It was given out in January. I have one on its way to me ... very slowly...
May I join the crowd admiring your Jardin d’Andalousie? So pretty!
I was admiring my friend's Etoupe B a few days ago. Such a great neutral! She chose bi-colour twillies which shaded from red to teal to blue. Very nice colour effect.
I relate to so much of what you say here... My walls are full and those would be my choices as well...I don't have any scarves on my wall. Too many bookshelves and lots of oriental carved rosewood furniture. Even the TV and sound bar look out of place, to say nothing of the four Macs, four Windows laptops and probably ten cellphones/iPads/tablets that litter the living room. There are a few Chinese paintings and calligraphic pieces on the walls. No space for my Richard Avedon "Natassja Kinski and the Serpent".
Then the Asia theme we did in February gave me some ideas. Sooooooo, these oriental-themed silks would be on my wall if I didn't think it'd make DH look a bit too hard at the orange boxes.

Great choice!i don't have any framed, but if i ever decide to get one done, the first one will be the Tygress![]()
Awesome! And great choice. There aMy DH has always been supportive of my scarf collecting (to a degree LOL), and he always said we should display them. He actually found this scarf display system on Amazon a few years ago at a fraction of the cost of the H one. Now that I have finally gotten around to installing the hanging system for use above my bureau, I think I may order a second system to use over our living room sofa! Pictured below with my second H scarf ever, Poste et Cavalerie.

One scarf I have thought about mounting ( if I actually had any wall space), is En avant toute! Queen Mary 2 edition.
Only sold on board the QM2 during the first years of operation. I was lucky to find this on eBay .

Feeling quite nostalgic when I look at this. We had about a dozen of these acrylic sandwich frames in my previous office. My boss's boss decided that the staff needed more motivation and so my boss was tasked to find inspirational quotes and put them up. We had to change the quotes every quarter.I just put this up on my wall.... would be better if I iron the scarf, but I can’t wait to see the effect!View attachment 4397926View attachment 4397927
