I don’t have any scarves displayed as art- but love to wear these bits of art around my neck!
One scarf I have thought about mounting ( if I actually had any wall space), is En avant toute! Queen Mary 2 edition.
Only sold on board the QM2 during the first years of operation. I was lucky to find this on eBay .

I think of my scarves as art that I can wear - they frame my face and do wonders for both my appearance and my mood.
Parures de Samourais would be a stunning display [emoji173]️

You look amazing in this one! Now I am thinking I should have bought this cw instead of the 2 I bought. And love that green hem!

I just put this up on my wall.... would be better if I iron the scarf, but I can’t wait to see the effect!View attachment 4397926View attachment 4397927
Looks great as hanging art!

De la Mer au Ciel is definitely frameable! Here it is worn to highlight the soft grays - SOTD. (This thread is so inspiring and useful - gets me to wear those beauties that haven't been getting enough love )

I really like this tied this way - it shows all my favorite parts of the scarf and that fantastic green hem! :yahoo:

I never thought to check Amazon!! That's a good price.
Here's the original thread on TPF "Ode to my Fixation" https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/ode-to-my-fixation.425619/page-6
back when the "systems" were only $320 (They've been as high as $720) They discuss making your own on the TPF thread too.
BTW, I don't use the "standoff" mountings -- there are too many times I have an odd-sized scarf to display, so I just use clear push-pins in the wall.

Do scarves fade if you display them? Off topic, sorry ....

That's lovely! I still have to decide on a colourway for Pivoines (either the bronze one or the white one, like yours).
I love this colorway too! And I love the blue/aqua one too, ordered it online but haven't received it yet.

That's a lovely knot, Ali ... and we're twins!

Not off topic for today: Yes, scarves do fade and should be kept out of direct sunlight. (I'd swap out a hanging scarf every month, myself.) The same would be true of any silk object.
Framing with UV-protectant glass could protect a scarf, but to make it lie flat the framer would probably have to use some kind of glue or stitch. I bought a previously-framed scarf that had an Elmer's-type glue along the back of the hem and when I washed and soaked it to get the glue soft enough to pick off, the thread (which was old) came apart, especially along one side. I had my boutique send it back to H, where it presumably went to a roulotteuse (hem specialist) in Lyon. It cost me $55 and came back a little smaller and with a new tag (!) You have to look closely to see where they cut off the edge of the old hem, but it's nice now.

All great choices! Actually I think any of the Ugo Gattoni designs would make great hanging art
