Fifi, I thought I posted it on the SS2019 thread but I'll do it again. Its cw08. Ironically, this was an impulse purchase. (glad I followed my impulse!)

It is a rainy, overcast day here, so definitely looking forward to some more cheery, yellow scarves.

I have 3 Mineraux. The yellow gav and 2 90s. I'm obsessed with rocks and minerals.
The yellow gav looks very lemon under certain lighting, not so bright under my fluorescent.

When I got ready for this week's theme, I found a website that claimed there were 60 shades of yellow (yes, I'm a nerd ). I didn't get past #20 but I remember it named saffron as a shade of yellow-infused orange. I can work with that!

And Flotille. I like the ring of lemon-lime, but it's quite difficult to tie the scarf so that the lemon-lime shows.

It's from the 1970s. Designer is Pierre Peron. Yes, I could not resist the cute factor

Oh, cool - it looks like Galop Volant has a very similar feel to Chevaux du Ciel ! (Which I have in my notes as wanting the red special ed released for the first shop in China...)

So I thought I would show off my "problem scarf" yesterday. I find Les Merveilles de la Vapeur just charming, and figured I could overlook the pale yellow for the awesome grey border and details. And then it came and I tried to wear it with a grey blouse and it was horrible. The border turned this weird purply/brown/olive color, and I still didn't like the yellow. So I thought about dyeing it, but then I'd lose the fabulous detail - which is a true grey! Sigh. So I put it on the "sell pile" for a while. And figured I'd complain about it here, and then... I liked it.

Ok, I can never wear it with a true grey, or the border will turn that weird annoying color again. But against anything else? It's pretty nice! (And y'all have inoculated me this week against my instinctive recoil from yellow. Thanks!)

For my true grey fix (and some randomly acid yellow cords) I'm wearing Last Night today:

On my way to a conference,
Packed only black and white clothing and very bright scarves.
Expected temperatures between 0 and 20° Celsius make packing a challenge.

Last weeks are a blur, colleague broke her leg, I worked so much I could barely scroll through this amazing thread. But all the overtime finally made me pull the trigger on the beaded Jaguar Quetzal [emoji12] [emoji7]
