I love how you tied this. Need to remember it for my own 70s.Just a simple knot on my 70cm carre because I need more practice
Great post! wonderful pix.2019 was a banner year at H - especially the FW season. So many gorgeous scarves. My 2 favorites are La Cite Cavalière and Index Palmrum - both very warm and I love the green in IP. I wore it yesterday, and because I was waiting for Mr Cookie (#meninvolved), I played around with it!

And now a special Oscarf award. We all know that sometimes our family and friends don’t quite understand how we feel about our scarves - it’s just a piece of fabric and expensive at that. Mr Cookie - while he’s not so sure about the scarves - knows that I love them and doesn’t mind (too much) that I can’t resist them. My DS2 has been watching me and learning about the scarves; sometimes when I get a fabulous scarf in, I show it to him and we go over the details. He gets how much joy they bring to me.
This Christmas, he bought a scarf for me - one he loved and thought was perfect for me. I can’t tell you how much this means to me

Thank you so much! The ebene with orange tassel was my first Samourais... I so hope you will find it this year!Twins on a couple of these. These are Fantastic!!
Congrats on finding your last Samourai! I have this cw as well and I believe that Cookiefiend was also my inspiration!
The one that I am chasing is in my signature (the ebene!!) and one day....yes one day I will find it.
Love love the 70s tied together. I must try that.
It’s even better IRL... Thank you so much!Congrats! Love that Samourais! Think I should have gotten that CW also.
Thank you so much!An astounding profusion of color and design. Wow!
You had a stellar scarf year! Congrats! So many beauties, and the perfect balance and variety in color and design... I am your twin on the Sieste giant silk and Hola Flamenca!... Love them allOh my. I acquired a dozen scarves this year. That's a lot! Last season was really excellent. I bought a record-breaking 4 new ones. Two of my new acquisitions were gifts, so maybe my rate of acquisition wasn't that bad...?

The "most-worn" awards are really surprising! The #1 most-worn goes to a surprising dark horse candidate: Washington's Carriage wash scarf, a recent impulse purchase. It is cozy and easy to wear around the house.
The close runner up is Jaguar Quetzal - another surprise. That was a gift from my sweetheart. I would probably not have picked it out at the store because I don't usually go for earthy tones. But this particular scarf proved to be so versatile.
The second runner up is another surprise - everyone's favorite design to complain about - the BdG. Another gift from Mr. FR, it ties so nicely and gives me a very respectable air when I wear it.
I was happy to score some old personal grails, including Hola Flamenca and Tuiga. And I snapped up the ZP I regretted passing up.
I regret the SaP a little bit. I find the plume silk too thin for warmth when it's cold and too much for warm summer weather. It is a bit crispy in texture and doesn't sit and drape the way my other heavier twill 140s do. It was worth a try, but I don't think I'd get another plume silk 140.
Overall, a great year for my collection!
So lovely on you!Such a great post ! Love your choices and i am glad I am twins with you on some
How did you create this collage of your silks?
I have bought a lot of scarves in 2019 and the latest is my sotd today - twin

Beauties! And, the one from your mom will always be specialPerfection achieved right out of the gate!
Oh, to have loved ones take a genuine interest in our devotion to silks... what a dear boy. He’s definitely paying attention because that BC truly suits you to perfection
I’ve been enjoying this awards ceremony infinitely more than any other! Many Oooh’s & Ahhh’s at all the spectacular posts
I finally perused my records and in denial at the vintage scarf total that lept into my cart in 2019. Should take a vaca’ to Ban Isle, but there’s a few temptations to resolve first.
My Oscarf goes to Sportsman & Runner up is Puzzle II since it was a gift from my dear mother:
Oh, twin! Isn’t this the most amazing silk to knot? It is a masterpiece and you wear it beautifully!Actual SOTD. Les Ailes View attachment 4630659
Such a timeless classic... I keep thinking that I should consider this one now that I’ve become acquainted with CSGMs... Gorgeous!I missed out on Jungle Love the first time around so I was very happy when it was reissued in 2019.

Such colorful choices! But that blue sieste! Wow!So, 2019 wasn’t only the year that I added the first 70s to my scarf collection, but also the year that I began wearing giant silks and CSGMs.
And, I do have some awards to give in this category. My favorite and the most stunning large silk that I have ever seen is Sieste au Paradis. Even if I would never wear it, I would be happy just lovingly staring at it. I purchased two CWs in December to try on and pick one, but I just couldn’t bring myself to returning either. As a matter of fact, I’m thinking of getting another one.
This was before dinner on New Years Eve. I had walked in with it as a bias fold, but it was a bit chilly and I loosely draped it later

Funny thing is that I thought that the blue was going back at first, and it’s actually the only one I’ve worn! So versatile and elegant, IMOSuch colorful choices! But that blue sieste! Wow!
Congrats on your beauties!I bought 7 scarves in 2019. Five were stalked. Two were impulse buys--Carpe Diem gav to use up my $60 of ebay bucks before they expired and an Indian Dust that a friend was rehoming. Only one purchase was a current season scarf--Sweet Dreams. I either owe or blame Fifi's instagram pics for the lust created in me for this scarf and Joannadyne for bringing this design to my attention.. Two of the five stalked scarves were super grails for me. ELEK 140 and C'est La Fete 70. The CLF was my last must have scarf. I had been searching for this colorway for two years. So thrilled to finally have it. Hope the pics are not too huge when they load.
