My amazing SO bought me a beautiful cw of Regina with a matching very soft sweater for Christmas. I wore them both immediately! I love wearing my scarves this way. They provide a pop of color, feel wonderful and stay perfectly put all day!View attachment 4623778 View attachment 4623779

I’m inspired by your pic with the turtleneck sweater and a silk scarf. I’m going to copy that soon :)

I’m a Leila Menchari fan and your Regina is very beautiful.

Something serious first: Reverie Pompeienne issued in 2002 to benefit the archaeological digs at Pompeii. I'm very glad that this is one of the few shades of brown I can wear and that it is by fave designer Toutsy. The artwork is highly detailed and one day, I'm going to dissect the symbology and research the sources.

And now some frivolity. H issues scarves for events which aren't big on the historical scale, but gee, they sure are pretty!
Flamingo Party for H Miami opening (@Living.la.vida.fifi has the other delicious cw of this)
H en Bias in orange and more orange for The Gates art installation at Central Park
Trophees de Venise in black and gold issued for opening of H boutique in Venice
And the hot pink Parures Oceanes celebrating 30th anniversary of the H at Palm Beach.

Having visited Pompei last May, I will be very interested if you care to share more details.

I don’t have many scarves I would consider historical - but I do have a few!

Love that gav on you! You do wear those small formats so well!

Car selfies not as easy as they look :P. An ode to traditional if not historical scarf-making with Kyoto Marble technique, Balade en Berline backs up vibrato Evie PM.

Joyeux Noël à tous!
My SOTD is the most precious one, gifted by mother-in-law for Christmas. It belonged to her mother. I think it is called Diligences or Diligences anglaises by Pittner. It’s probably a silk-cotton blend. My first jacquard.

Now see, Luvbolide, comments like yours contribute greatly to my happiness! Thank you...and may you find one of these CSGM's soon.

Hi Scarfies, hope you all had a lovely Christmas! My collection has been boxed up and is in storage, awaiting a new phase in my life. So I have only the stragglers on hand: the mostly second hand finds that arrived without a box. But back to the theme! To a historian like me, everything is history. I love my scarves because they are an extension of a long history of adornment, of sericulture, of trade and commerce and, finally, of art. Please forgive my contribution - it is my little joke. I knew when I saw this scarf that, hands down - no question about it, I had to own it. It’s nothing new - it’s the Wedgewood scarf. In Wedgewood Blue. OK I thought it was funny...
