Well it’s certainly not as weird as not buying a scarf because of the name. Great choice. Such a balanced combination of black, gray and browns with a little color in there too. It will go with everything for Fall/Winter...Gosh, maybe the perfect travel scarf.

Lol! And it isn’t OT because it’s the “Scarf of the Day” thread which as I recall is how I was lured into posting my non-white scarf by the theme administrator which is, wait, who is that again? Oh yes, you!
 Heeheehee - that was me!
I think this might go with just about everything too! Yay!
Quite gorgeous, Cookiefiend.
Thank you!
Lovely! I always admired the border on this. Love how you tied it to show that off.
Thanks sweetie! The border is truly amazing!
A cold day in North Texas...Bal des Bulles
What a great color!
Congratulation twin ... and so artfully tied!
Hi twin! And thank you for the kind words!
Actual SOTD. Chasse en INde CSGM in the Ciel / white/ green CW.
It was very cold but sunny today for our trip to the city for a festive lunch. DH pointed out that it hadd a very icy feel... so maybe even on topic.View attachment 4616718 View attachment 4616719
Oooo - it does have a cool feel to it with the green and blue. It’s lovely!
Always so sophisticated, cookie. The color of your sweater is lovely, too.
Thank you so much!

Good morning Scarflandia! This weeks theme is going to be a lovely one.
ICE QUEEN - Grey, white, ivory, pale scarves.

The lovely calm and cool, serene colors. A certain shade of light on a sunny morning, or the dusk of a summer evening. A snowy evening, with a winter storm on the way - can make you feel a chill in your bones!

The Snow Queen is a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, published in December 1844 - When the Snow Queen, a lonely and powerful fairy, kidnaps a human boy Kay, his best friend Gerda must overcome many obstacles on her journey to rescue him. When she finds him, she must melt the ice chips in his heart and in his eye.

As a child, I loved the idea of a Snow Queen whirling around the snowy world. There is a movie from 1957 by Nikolay Frodorov that I watched in the 60’s - hosted by Art Linkletter - and was fascinated by... I watched it last week though and it didn’t have quite the cache as it did then, but the Snow Queen was beautiful still.
My first pale beauty - Cheval de Charactere

The White Witch - Jadis - froze Narnia in the Hundred Years Winter. I loved all the Narnia stories as a child, and still have those books in my library - I know I’m a total nerd!

I look forward to seeing everyone’s pale beauties!
What a great intro... Love the Snow Queen and Narnia! I’ve been trying to be a white unicorn/maiden/witch hybrid creature for years for Halloween and still haven’t gotten it together.... Maybe 2020?!
That Filigrane is amazing! Another one for my wishlist... If I could only get so lucky!

What a lovely intro, Cookie ... and a beautiful white witch!
Your Filigrane is gorgeous on you. My SOTD is Paperoles:

Oh, so beautiful in this CW!!

Lovely intro Cookie!!:flowers:Lots of beautiful scarves you have! Here is my Millefleur Mexique 70 enjoying an outing on a winters day!:flowers:
Oh my goodness, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this CW of Millefleurs! And, I thought I wanted a more colorful one, but nope! This is going straight to the top of my wishlist... Lovely!

Loved your intro dear cookie. I also am a fan of the Narnia Chronicles. It was the first intro to Turkish Delight lol. I happen to love white and silvery silks and happy to share a few.

Recent men’s stole Tinos and past favorite stole Collection Equestre.Alliances du Monde mousseline and two holiday silks Noel au 24 Faubourg and de Passage a Moscou. Speaking of wintry whites, white roses in the the house this past month.

Amazing shawl, and what a beautifully composed picture! Safe travels!

What a gorgeous theme and introduction. I will be glued to the thread this week because I have a total of 0 white/pale gray scarves, which is kinda insane because the entirety of the rest of my life is either white, gray or black. Such clarity we receive here! I think it was @Jbizzybeetle or @Julide that called this H therapy.

Good heavens that is beautiful on you! So true confessions...I have always adored this scarf but never bought it because I didn’t like the name. Which has to be the stupidest reason ever not to buy a scarf. Like not buying a perfume because you don’t like the box. Moronicity. This should be a word.

Interesting!

I read the scarf threads while I have coffee and, for Pete’s sake, how many times can one say “Wow!” Or “Oh my gosh!” I adore my H bags but this is the most beautiful thread on tPF bar none. The intelligence and artfulness and wit and beauty and grandeur and sophistication of the scarves, their designers, their artists and craftspersons and the women who collect them is so intrinsically and tightly interwoven that one could not unravel a single one of those threads without losing a valuable piece of the art.

Fascinating. So good to know! I will proceed to drive my SA insane.

Aaaaack! See, here I go, wow! Lovely!

There’s an idea, waterproof H scarves for swimming or scuba!

Lol!

Beautiful patterns!

Nerd week on tPF! Finally a chance to post Space Shopping. Beam me up Scotty!
I so relate to your thoughts and reflection about reading the scarf thread... Beautifully said

A slight diversion, a wee fork in the road, and maybe a little OT - but - Scarf Mail!
I’ve eyeballed Tous Les Bateaux du Monde for quite a while now and idly pondered CWs. But thought - eh - would I like those boats? Is that kinda weird? But I’d see it here and - I gotta
confess - That Border Is Flat Out Incredible. I found one I couldn’t resist, and ZOMG its gorgeous! And no one ever said anything about the beautiful celadon green! :panic::yahoo::panic:

Thank you - I’m glad I’m not annoying the heck out of everyone with my wandering, left field thoughts! :giggle:
Luna Park in this cw (and a moussie) is like wearing a lovely cloud.
And - woot! Another twin! I couldn’t really tell from the photos just how beautiful this scarf is, and I love the color of it. I’ve been staring at it, like a love-struck teenager! :girlsigh:

Oh my - they are beautiful! But EPuPdG - is stunning! It almost looks like two different scarves!
Thank you so much... This silk is one of my coveted treasures. I fell for the ballerina pink CW instantly at the store and had to have it, but couldn’t leave this wonderful CW behind... It is my snow white beauty

This is nice and icy and what a great coat!

Beautifully icy!

Well, I don’t own many scarves to fit this week’s theme as I usually gravitate towards strong color, but here are two pale wonders that I enjoy...

A girl after my own heart

Like dear fifi, my collex tends towards stronger color. However, a few debatably icy silks have snuck in the mix:
- Tohu Bohu (SOTD) with a snowy white base somehow lured me away from it’s bolder siblings. I find it utterly refreshing & play to the scattered punches of color scattered within (or without; the yellow hem is quite attention grabbing) :graucho:

Thank you Fifi! I hope you will find yours soon. As I mentioned to @Cookiefiend I will take a picture of it flat, I know I have the colourway somewhere too....:flowers:

This is one of my rare ventures into the realms of pale scarfs. Not very sure why I bought it. I think I was in one of those moods when I felt an irrational need to step out of my comfort zone :whut: At least it's by a fave designer
