Thank you Croisette!So flattering, Cookiefiend!
What a beauty! And - oooo - that hem!
Good morning Scarflandia! This weeks theme is going to be a lovely one.
ICE QUEEN - Grey, white, ivory, pale scarves.
The lovely calm and cool, serene colors. A certain shade of light on a sunny morning, or the dusk of a summer evening. A snowy evening, with a winter storm on the way - can make you feel a chill in your bones!
The Snow Queen is a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, published in December 1844 - When the Snow Queen, a lonely and powerful fairy, kidnaps a human boy Kay, his best friend Gerda must overcome many obstacles on her journey to rescue him. When she finds him, she must melt the ice chips in his heart and in his eye.

As a child, I loved the idea of a Snow Queen whirling around the snowy world. There is a movie from 1957 by Nikolay Frodorov that I watched in the 60’s - hosted by Art Linkletter - and was fascinated by... I watched it last week though and it didn’t have quite the cache as it did then, but the Snow Queen was beautiful still.
My first pale beauty - Cheval de Charactere

The White Witch - Jadis - froze Narnia in the Hundred Years Winter. I loved all the Narnia stories as a child, and still have those books in my library - I know I’m a total nerd!

I look forward to seeing everyone’s pale beauties!
What a lovely intro, Cookie ... and a beautiful white witch!
Your Filigrane is gorgeous on you. My SOTD is Paperoles:

I don’t know if there is a rule. I have just seen some Savana Dance twilly today, the SA told me it was a new production using the same old cw (from 2 years ago I believe)...
Quoting @xincinsin
“Very often, I look right past a scarf until something sparks my interest. I ignored Galop Volant until, one day, I realized that it was based on Tang dynasty pottery figurines. And while nerdily doing research for this week's theme, I spotted the dancers on it. No doubt I will learn more about the design in future. That's what I like about H scarves - they are not just some random assortment of drawings.”
Yes! This keeps me coming back to this forum! Thank you!
I was told that my store keeps scarves for four seasons.

No scarves this weekend (lots of scuba diving practice doesn’t go with it!), but just popping in to say Hello.
I just noticed: is that a tiny H paperbag charm hanging on your Kelly? That's so sweet! Such loveliness, Cookie! Wish I'd suffered from some FOMO when Filigrane was issued. I ogled it online till it disappeared. And speaking of how long the boutiques keep their stock, I just remembered that the local H sale only has 90s. What happens to all the other formats, and the men's goodies?
Scarves For Nerds and I Buy H Because It's Pretty - new theme weeks![]()
Loved your intro dear cookie. I also am a fan of the Narnia Chronicles. It was the first intro to Turkish Delight lol. I happen to love white and silvery silks and happy to share a few.
Recent men’s stole Tinos and past favorite stole Collection Equestre.Alliances du Monde mousseline and two holiday silks Noel au 24 Faubourg and de Passage a Moscou. Speaking of wintry whites, white roses in the the house this past month.

For those themes...I’d bring out my whole collection!!!![]()
Ah thanks! I didn't realize it was in the reference library and it didn't come up in search.
Thank you so much! What a gorgeous theme and introduction. I will be glued to the thread this week because I have a total of 0 white/pale gray scarves, which is kinda insane because the entirety of the rest of my life is either white, gray or black. Such clarity we receive here! I think it was @Jbizzybeetle or @Julide that called this H therapy.
I read the scarf threads while I have coffee and, for Pete’s sake, how many times can one say “Wow!” Or “Oh my gosh!” I adore my H bags but this is the most beautiful thread on tPF bar none. The intelligence and artfulness and wit and beauty and grandeur and sophistication of the scarves, their designers, their artists and craftspersons and the women who collect them is so intrinsically and tightly interwoven that one could not unravel a single one of those threads without losing a valuable piece of the art.
Thank you so much!
I'm waiting for @FizzyWater to post - I think she wrote once that she was dithering about what scarf to wear with her gray sweater and she said "Oh I know - I'll wear this gray one!"
I love what you've written, it's exactly how I feel when reading this thread. So much beauty, carefully and lovingly shared.
I hope though that you - and everyone - shows what they're wearing regardless of the color or the theme! This is the Scarf Of The Day thread after all!![]()
Thank you dear! What a beauty! And - oooo - that hem!
Safe travels!
Beautiful!!Alright, this is what I’m wearing today...

Gray cashmere sweater, faded jeans, old Etriers CSGM, Ebene B35, black boots. (I apologize for the fur and don’t mean to offend anyone. I don’t buy it anymore. This is an old knee-length Loro Piana wool coat that is super functional with nary a pill, so I wear it when it’s cold.)
The title isn't important but the design, dear .... now you regret it!What a gorgeous theme and introduction. Good heavens that is beautiful on you! So true confessions...I have always adored this scarf but never bought it because I didn’t like the name. Which has to be the stupidest reason ever not to buy a scarf. Like not buying a perfume because you don’t like the box.Moronicity. This should be a word.
Interesting!

Fascinating. So good to know! I will proceed to drive my SA insane.
Aaaaack! See, here I go, wow! Lovely!
There’s an idea, waterproof H scarves for swimming or scuba!
Lol!
Beautiful patterns!
Nerd week on tPF! Finally a chance to post Space Shopping.Beam me up Scotty!
