fifi, I love how you used the scarf ring with the cowboy knot, was that difficult to tie?
No... It was super easy. Self-explanatory, I think. Using the Mors does elongate the cowboy knot... Love it worn with jackets... Thanks so much!

Oh my! This is definitely THE knot to master for contrast hems. Swoonworthy.
Fabulous GP pics - it's incredible how multi-faceted one scarf can be!
Thanks so much! The Edot Knot is tricky because it never comes out exactly the same way so it’s hard for me to control results. Also, the fan part ends up being either stiffer, curlier, softer or floppier depending on the quality of the specific scarf’s fabric.

The second scarf I wanna show today is truly magical: Une Rose Pour Alma CSGM. It features an enormous flower that looks as if it was shaded in by pencil. The soft gradations of color are wonderful and you can choose to highlight as much or as little of the rose as you like. In fact, in the traditional bias fold the rose is entirely obscured by the giant white borders. Anyway, here are six pictures to show the changing magic of this CSGM. In order:
1) The rose laid flat
2) Bias fold - this is how it was tied on the model on h.com and it's the tie that seduced me! I think it looks wonderful but you really can't tell that there's any flower on there...
3) Here you start to get an inkling that there is something big beyond those white borders...
4) Highlighting that bold contrast hem
5) By folding the scarf lengthwise rather than on the bias, you can highlight much more of the flower
6) Whaddaya mean this scarf has white borders?
It truly is magical. it’s amazing how the flower petals are either revealed or disguised depending on the fold or knot.

My Romantique tied 3 different ways, this is my favorite H scarf so far in my slowly growing collection.View attachment 4584176 View attachment 4584177 View attachment 4584178 View attachment 4584179
Such a classic and lovely design!

Love this colorway!

These are great!!
Than you so much!

Thank you so much - what a nice thing to say!
(I worry I bore y’all to death with my easy ties)

Well - I’ll be. Thank you!
I have 2 MTs and often wish I knew of other ways to tie them... I never thought of using a ring!
(D’oh!)
Bore us?! Who are you kidding! You could lay a scarf flat and it would look exciting!

I wanted to share a recent purchase. Early in the season @lanit posted some fantastic photos of this ActIII colorway and I immediately placed it at the top of my wishlist. Gorgeous!!!

In keeping with this week’s theme I am also posting some of my other CSGMs similarly tied.
What a stunning parade! I just adore that Acte III... So elegant and versatile! They are truly all wonderful and this knot so beautifully and neatly tames the silk and keeps it cozy and comfortable!

You do so many great knots! But i really like it when you tie to show fluffy frilly ends. They seem to be smiling! Perfect on you cuz you are so photogenic too. Hugs!
Awww! Such a lovely thing to say... Thank you very kindly!

Beautiful!

ZOMG - I die! I do love this knot and how it really shows off both the scarf and the hem.
I had to go fan myself after seeing this scarf - incredible!

I love it! Thank you for posting these!

Such a pretty scarf < girlysigh >

That is such a great cw of Act III!
Hahaha! Thank you, dear

our 7 scarves with 7 ties has a plus-one, and all reflect my recent over-zealous scarf buying...oh, dear....scarf mail!

this one is not like the others: Toile d’Hermes in a coppery glow because @bunnycat and I wondered if has changeant properties. Conclusion: maybe a bit. Not my color, tho....

Lettre de Napoleon a Murat: so hilarious, poor horse, Amazone saves the day!

Victoires et Militaires de la Vie de Napoleon, with the great man himself, one of two consecutive designs, 1948-49. May feel guilty ‘bout scooping up if someone else was searching for the pair. This is a fun tie: fold triangle, then again, then tie loose ends behind neck—so much control over a cowboy look.

OK, not the greatest fan of gavroches, but new rule: if Hermes puts your name on a scarf, you buy it.

Allures des Chevaux by Ledoux, so perfect, wanted closer look and its buddy, photo below, came with...secured with mini mors ring.

Fun facts, thanks to the scarfie village of @marietouchet @xincinsin @Cookiefiend: pocket scarf by Hajine Katagiri, tho name of design not included. took longer to tie this one than other 7 combined.

I have the coppery Toile. No, not much of a changeant effect if that was what you were hoping for.

The Edot Knot.... I was so excited about it when I first discovered the Youtube tutorials, then I stopped making it until quite recently. It is such a lovely knot and can show special aspects of a scarf so beautifully and dramatically. One such instance I discovered was with Mountain Zebra. Now it has become my favorite knot to use with this design. I’ve also rediscovered the knot as a great way to show a contrast hem.

You have outdone yourself - absolutely stunning!
This knot highlights every design so beautifully.
I am off to watch utube!......

Well. Landed in London this morning, and turns out, I left the belt for my cashmere coat at home (dry cleaner separates them, and I never put it back on). It’s a wrap coat... so guess who went to the Bond St store and grabbed an orange Guépards to act as a temporary belt? It’s a double scarf kind of day as a result. I am likely wearing the brightest outfit in all of London right now.

(Some of you asked about the bag — K32 in Capucine, PHW).
What a pleasant solution to your absent belt dilemma... It looks so good that I “forget” the proper belt permanently :P

Another sinister tale: the One Thousand and One Nights. Scheherazade’s plan to tell the Sultan engrossing stories night after night was actually a plot to keep herself alive, as the Sultan married a different virgin every night to execute each one the next morning thus preventing them from being unfaithful to him. This after his Queen cheated on him. All die, until Scheherazade outwits him with her brilliant stories by making him curious enough to listen night after night, until finally after the 1,001 night, he realizes that has fallen in love with her and marries her, making her Queen. Pretty messed up, gorey and frightening. But yay for Scheherazade’s wit and intelligence and for the beautiful silk inspired by the story... La Charmante aux Animaux

You know what’s scary? My pearl and/or beaded necklaces unraveling with pieces strewn all over the floor where some could possibly be lost. It has happened to me a few times and my heart skips beats. The last time it happened to me was with a treasured Vrba vintage piece. I lost several beads, but thankfully I know a jeweler who knows the master designer and he promised to fix it for me. I am having the vapors at just the thought. So, here is Dancing Pearls. I need to take a pic next time I wear it!

Another favorite is just a bias fold knotted at the ends.

If 140s didn't swamp me so much, you would have totally sold me on this design. I'll just hold out that H reissues it in a smaller format for short people

Feeling inspired now. I have a Romantique languishing in the closet. We should have a Sleeping Beauty week for re-inspired use of a scarf that you had been tired of...

Stunning! The different materials make the colour come forward in varying shapes.

Jardins'Hiver today. Very apt as it's freezing outside. Don't know that I would go out in public with it wrapped around my head but it's very cosy for when at home!!!
