Well. Landed in London this morning, and turns out, I left the belt for my cashmere coat at home (dry cleaner separates them, and I never put it back on). It’s a wrap coat... so guess who went to the Bond St store and grabbed an orange Guépards to act as a temporary belt? It’s a double scarf kind of day as a result. I am likely wearing the brightest outfit in all of London right now.

(Some of you asked about the bag — K32 in Capucine, PHW).
What a fantastic solution to your problem Anna. Looks smashing!

The Maxi Twilly Cut format has been discontinued, but previous season models are still available in stores and online (and of course second hand). Whenever I post pics of mine I get asked if I like them and find them easy to wear. The answers are yes and yes  To illustrate, here are 5 different knots using my Camails MT Cut. The MT Cuts often featured different patterns either on one side, or on one tail. This adds to the versatility of the scarf as you can choose to highlight or hide that second pattern.

The 5 knots are:
1) Simply the two ends slipped through a trio ring
2) Infinity knot looped twice around the neck
3) Loop, highlighting patterned tail
4) Loop highlighting the other tail
5) MaiTai's weave knot
What a fantastic post! So helpful! I love the maxi twilly cut format but have felt intimidated by it. Tried them once at the store and walked away. I need to go back and consider them again. You do such a wonderful job at showing their beauty and appeal!

The Edot Knot.... I was so excited about it when I first discovered the Youtube tutorials, then I stopped making it until quite recently. It is such a lovely knot and can show special aspects of a scarf so beautifully and dramatically. One such instance I discovered was with Mountain Zebra. Now it has become my favorite knot to use with this design. I’ve also rediscovered the knot as a great way to show a contrast hem.

Oh my! This is definitely THE knot to master for contrast hems. Swoonworthy.
Fabulous GP pics - it's incredible how multi-faceted one scarf can be!

The second scarf I wanna show today is truly magical: Une Rose Pour Alma CSGM. It features an enormous flower that looks as if it was shaded in by pencil. The soft gradations of color are wonderful and you can choose to highlight as much or as little of the rose as you like. In fact, in the traditional bias fold the rose is entirely obscured by the giant white borders. Anyway, here are six pictures to show the changing magic of this CSGM. In order:
1) The rose laid flat
2) Bias fold - this is how it was tied on the model on h.com and it's the tie that seduced me! I think it looks wonderful but you really can't tell that there's any flower on there...
3) Here you start to get an inkling that there is something big beyond those white borders...
4) Highlighting that bold contrast hem
5) By folding the scarf lengthwise rather than on the bias, you can highlight much more of the flower
6) Whaddaya mean this scarf has white borders? :D

These are great!!

Thanks so much! The ELaC remains one if my fav scarves of all time

Ha! They are both marvelous! Thank you so much!

Hahaha! Gorgeousness!

Thank you so very much!

The ELeC was a Spring/Summer 2017 scarf, and I feel it got pushed aside by many of the dazzlers that season, such as Parures de Samourais. By the time I was on my third Samourais, I noticed it and decided on it because of the CW which is actually our team colors, so I meant it to be a game scarf. It’s a beauty and so incredibly versatile... Thanks so much!

Thank you so much!

I love it when you do this knot, works especially well with the Mors... Your SOTD is so beautifully perfect for the season!

Oh my goodness! These are such unique treasures! I love PP in this CW... Gorgeous!-

OMG what a fabulous look! So ingenious (and beautiful) to use the scarf as a belt!
Thank you so much - what a nice thing to say!
(I worry I bore y’all to death with my easy ties)

Well - I’ll be. Thank you!
I have 2 MTs and often wish I knew of other ways to tie them... I never thought of using a ring!
(D’oh!)

I wanted to share a recent purchase. Early in the season @lanit posted some fantastic photos of this ActIII colorway and I immediately placed it at the top of my wishlist. Gorgeous!!!

In keeping with this week’s theme I am also posting some of my other CSGMs similarly tied.

This is awesome! All The ways you tied them and this particular maxi twilly. Too bad they never caught on. it’s quite versatile and seems much less fussy!

ZOMG - I die! I do love this knot and how it really shows off both the scarf and the hem.
