My contribution today is kinda a stretch: VIF Argent. My rationale is that some form of the mercury liquid depicted in this design historically was used in shaping felt hats. Sadly the mercury slowly poisoned the hatters over time causing slurred speech, tremors, and other neurological symptoms. SCARY! right?

Is this where the Mad Hatter comes from?

Ugh! This reminds me of when they used lead in cosmetics to achieve a pale complexion.

Cave Felem was never the same for me after someone described it as "Oops! Stuck again!"

That Year of the Rat is a lovely cw!

Good ones, fifi! Turandot is musical gore. Like those versions of Sleeping Beauty where the enchanted forest just swallowed up all the unfortunate princes.

That is a very interesting question ... Maybe we should come up with a term for it :amuse:

Oh dear! I hope you had Sweet Dreams anyway (pun alert!). If it helps, there was a storm and I dreamt of vampires...

I'll look out for one for you, Jbizzy!

This reminds me of the original movie of The Fly...

There was a website that said Ingrid was referring to Ingrid Bergman. Can't say I see the connection...:confused1:

OT here too, but yeah, I read the whole series. Teleporting dragons :heart::heart:
Thank you xincinsin - and I apologize for ruining Cave Felem for you! < hugs >
The original The Fly with Vincent Price? I had to cover my eyes (yay pillows!) and put my fingers in my ears for the Spider v/s the Fly ending - shudder.
I never learnt how to swim, so I do have fear of drowning. And despite Hollywood romanticizing it (Blue Lagoon, anyone?), being a castaway sounds frightening to me (sand in uncomfortable places, and creepy crawlies, and wild animals... :-s ) SOTD Le Robinson Chic.

Being a castaway would be awful!

Bwahahaha!!!
no scaries with Jungle Love DD cuddling against post-storm winds...unless you count the selfie-stalker shadow...

Two terrifying things today:

Genetics :) my hair used to be fairly straight, but it started getting waivier and waivier over the past few years (the photo itself is slightly terrifying to wake up to :) ). I researched it, and it seems that some hair genes can start getting expressed later in life. It’s pretty cool but also scary — what other crazy things can kick in?!!

Now that we have talked about me :))) Also my Circus scarf. Because clowns.

I thought of watching IT, but my kids vetoed it. Scary clowns are not their cup of tea.

Ok more scary things. Buzkashi is a sport that originated in Afghanistan which is basically soccer played on horseback and with a goat / calf carcass instead of a soccer ball. Slightly terrifying, right? There is a Wikipedia article that explains more.

I found this Bozkachi scarf by Sophie K on TRR and had to grab it. I can’t find any information on it anywhere, but it sure feels like an authentic scarf. It’s a cotton 70cm. You can even see the headless goat carcass in the middle...

Hahaha! Thank you!

:police: You have no other violations on your Hermes record so we’ll just pretend we didn’t hear that and let you go with a warning this time.

Wow, that’s a movie-quality costume!
Haha! Thanks much!

Ah I love that Caduce Rock! Would love this design for myself with the tie dye.

Mercury can be scary, you are spot on here!

Did you post the Personas because they are a bit 'scary'? Or it is just me who finds them to be that way?

I am with you... I appreciate the culture significance, but every time I saw it in the store, it made me uncomfortable!
I probably read your comment about the Persona masks being scary. I myself am not a bit scared of them!

Hahaha! Thank you!

Oh yeah I bought it as soon as I saw it! When I first met my husband freshman year of college, I was very impressed that he knew what buzkashi was... we both for a kick of this scarf.

let me know if you want to borrow it though :)
