Hello everyone,
I'm new to the world of Hermès carré/scarves and would love to wear them in unique ways.
Do you have any recommendations for examples pictures or tutorials on how to tie them?
Thanks a lot !

Good morning, dear Carinecrd,

Since I am online and just posted ... Please allow me to answer you, although so many others here would be more qualified:

How delightful – the world of Hermès scarves can indeed be a source of joy, aesthetics and, as you can see in this thread, creative and exquisite personalities and beauty.

If you scroll through this thread, you are sure to find an incredible number of beautiful, creative and varied scarf-tying ideas. The generous ladies here have also shared their talent in step-by-step instructions in a separate thread:

I have an app (Apple phone) called ScarfArt and it is fabulous. Videos of each tie, pictures to show what are of the scarf is highlighted in the fold, and a search feature. It was $13 but well worth it in my opinion.

As well as Meta's suggestions
There's guides/tutorials here and here. Good luck! :flowers:

There are also many YT vids. They don't have to be on H scarves per sae, so long as you get the general equivocal shape, size and comparable fabric.

It seems to be the season of the silk scarf and it's definitely worth finding some personal favourites.

You also may also ask you SA if they have the scarf-cards 1-6 or their digital equivalents

Have they re-published the scarf cards ? Mine date back to when dinosaurs walked the earth. I never opened them for fear of losing cards - silly of me but I am not a fussy knot person . I do remember the J AIME MON CARRE days - the promotions had scarves folded on the bias and all knotted together to make a 6 ft length, a very messy look

Scarf Knotting Cards: I certainly don't get them anymore but I have 7 (I have a feeling I have 2 x no.5)

At some branches they may have a few old packets knocking around. I think the later ones are numbered. A scarf-newbie friend was given a packet when he bought a CSGM and a twilly (to wear, not for a bag) and this was only late last year.

Liberty (UK dept store) did a card pack similarly - and their scarf expert also demonstrated scarf-knotting on YT, I'm pretty sure they're still up.

Sorry for the silly question but now that I’ve become addicted (I blame Abigail Goodman) and have my own little collection - just added Gants in the dark blue for this season - how long do the scarves generally stay in stores? If I wanted another colorway in it, would there be any chance of finding it in December when in London or April in Paris? Just debating how long to hold out if I love something! IMG_8925.webp

:welcome:

Scarves are seasonal, so for Spring/Summer (usually Jan-June) and Fall/Winter (July-Dec). The scarf in particular that you mentioned is from Fall/Winter so chances are it should still be available. That said, some cws are more in demand and sell quicker than others. (Or some stores didn't order a particular cw or only a small quantity). Good luck! :flowers:

Agree, rather get it sooner than later if you love a design and CW.

You never know how many of the same a store orders, how many other customers buy it etc. I would usually email my SA with a picture and name of the scarf and if it's available buy it in store from her.

Only exception (where I'd buy immediately online or in another store while travelling) is if I love the scarf so much I cannot possibly live without it lol (I still regret not buying that one Burberry Cashmere scarf in a specific colourway at an outlet when I saw it...) or if it's already late in the season and unlikely my store is getting it again
