Scam Artist NJ Stealing Chanel and Hermes

I'm wondering whether the OP ever contacted the police department. In the course of my communications with her, I realized that her "detective" wasn't a police detective, but rather a private investigator. This type of theft is grand larceny and the police should have been brought into it as soon as the chargeback was discovered. I wonder why she didn't involve the police at the beginning.
OP, please update. TPF'ers have spent a lot of time trying to help you, searching for your bags, contacting the consignment store where the items were supposedly found, etc. and we'd like to know what has transpired since.

Wow I heard of this at my nail salon!!! I had an interesting experience with that woman a year or so ago for a chanel wallet. After telling her I work in the city she insisted I could get a better deal in person paying cash and she'd bring other items not yet posted to her IG. I almost met her cause the price was so good I thought maybe it was fake. But I could tell from the photos she sent it was real. It was new and many of the other bags she had mostly chanel at the time were brand new current season like 40% off retail. I remember telling myself it's either bait and switch with fakes or they're running credit card scams. Sure enough I saw on the news months back about a big credit card scam at different Saks on luxury items that were then sold on ig and the first thing that came to my head was luxurysnob and a couple of those Atlanta pages. This is beyond scary
JMHO, but something is "off" on this case. (And it's not the first time that the OP has had crises that weren't updated.)
Your opinion is most likely right, and it seems that we will never know the end of this.

I used to work in High End Jewelry .
Like Tiffany & Co..
When anybody made a purchase of over $5,000
we would inform the Client, that we would call the bank to verify.
as to protect them from unwanted purchases on their credit cards
You could even post a sign that any purchase over the amount of
$2,000, that you will call the credit card company to verify
the transaction in person ..
MOST Clients will THANK YOU for this, with so much identity theft
going on these days .
I have had to wait a few extra minutes when I am out of town,
for my card to be verified .
I always appreciate this as too many cards get stolen and used these days
