During my very long wait for my SA today, I heard someone say the opening would be Nov. 15! So I guess it is safer to say that it sounds like it is currently planned for the Nov. 14-16 time frame! I am hoping to find out good news on a special edition as the date draws nearer!

I think they are planning to have a tailor in residence in the new space, too. Can’t wait to see it!!

Apparently SF will be he biggest store in the US which seems crazy! Preparing for all those post IPO spenders?

Hi all, I just moved here and am looking for a SA. I’ve been to the SF store several times but have never been approached asking if I need any help, no matter how busy the store is. I am a bit put off as a result...Is this normal?
If things are busy, I just sit down and browse the internet until I get help or flag someone if they are not with a client already. Sometimes talking to the security folks can help too as they can sometimes help you get help once someone is free.

It's been awhile since I posted partly because my SA retired and then I dabbled switching to Stanford for a bit...but I've made my triumphant return to SF with a little (or a lot) of enabling from @honu! We went on a Saturday, but right when the store opened so it wasn't busy. We had lots of "fun" with our SAs, more than should be allowed.

So, here's the bag dump:
  • One of those boxes is super heavy and not really cardboard (or really dense cardboard?)...some of you may know what this means, but it's my first foray in this category so when I saw the box, I was like "whhaaa?"
  • It was supposed to be only one twilly box, but "Twillys Don't Count"
  • Note: pesky cat was not part of the haul

  • Mosaique au 24 Platinum Box
  • Chaine d'Ancre Punk Necklace...in a super heavy box!
  • Jungle Love Rainbow Twillys (rose vif/encre/blanc - H063369S 04 and gris/noir/blanc; H063369S 10)
  • Murry, not content with all that ribbon, went after the twilly box lid...it rolled off the bed and onto the floor, and now the poor twilly box lid is not mine anymore

Totally with you on twillys, they’re like candy to me! I’m also contemplating SF or Stanford - what made you decide on SF?

Good question. I didn't plan on switching to Stanford, but after my SA retired, I was in SA limbo (and safe on Ban Island for once ). I visited Stanford and it was a smidge more convenient and better parking of course. I felt comfortable and welcome there since a couple people came from SF and knew me. I think they were trying to woo some of the in-betweeners from SF and who doesn't love to be wooed. For me, it boiled down to the stronger SA connection and I had it with a few more SA's in SF than Stanford...I had a history with them. So, that coupled with going into the City for that shopping experience, better stock and the remodel - all helped to inform my decision.

What are you considering between SF or Stanford? Aside from the SA, is location a factor, stock level, parking, weather (Stanford gets so bright and sunny in the afternoon!)?

In terms of stock level, I'm wondering which location would be more advantageous. Would Stanford be more of a "big fish in a little pond" type of situation, since I'm guessing this store would cater to more locals, versus the one in the City which would get a lot of tourist traffic?
