Hi all Hermes lovers,

I am feeling quite disappointed with the SF store - I almost have 40K+ pre spend (across 3 credit cards) since 2022 and I only have 1 bag on my wishlist - a MK in a neutral color and there is no movement whatsoever? I've changed my SA once and I've bought tons of shoes, fine jewellery, RTW, a watch, some home stuff, wallets, clutches etc. My heart wants what it wants - I don't want to compromise on color - I love how responsive and attentive my new SA is - I've also introduced her to my friends but now I am concerned about how exhausting this game is becoming.

I understand your concern. The reality is that the SF store is competitive and demand for an MK is very high.

I’m not sure how much you’ve spent with your new SA and how long you’ve been shopping at SF total, but it’s more likely than not that spend has “reset” for you with your new SA.

Stop or drastically slow down your spending until late Jan next year. Come in then, buy something small in the RTW, home or jewelry department and remind them about your wish.

Did your SA offer you any other bags in all this time? One would think this pre spend would unlock some blue box offers. Thanks for sharing and good luck to you and us all.

Blue box offers with $40k spend over two+ years? Unfortunately this spend is actually on the low side for this store, especially if one is asking for basically the number one requested spec of a neutral mini kelly as a first quota bag and given the fact that her SA changed midstream. It’s bad luck but if OP was asking for a K28 or B30, she would definitely have it already. But for a neutral mini kelly, the competition is too high and deep pocketed.

I’m not an SF shopper, but my store is similarly competitive. Agree with @acrowcounted ; there are unfortunately simply too many high spenders with 4X-10x annually that are waiting for a MK neutral. Sadly, at that level of spend, it’s not a game. It’s simply the reality of limited supply and high demand. So, even with a great SA relationship, it’s not entirely up to the SA. there have been some reports that newer SAs can be more helpful, but IMO the more clients you introduce her to, the higher the competition for bags.
It might be helpful to read a post written by @DoggieBags re the mix an SA has to achieve before they can make an offer. See, post 10,230, in this thread:

ETA: my SAs have always told me that they cannot make an offer to a client if an SM has not authorized rhat bag for that SA.

I don't shop at the SF store, but I am your neighbor to the north. I was only able to "unlock" a MK with a 5:1 prespend in a shorter time frame than you have. I think especially as a first bag request, this will be very hard for you to get unless you want to spend a lot more.

Ugh I wish I had just bought the MK resale in 2022 when they were still trading for 22k-25k :(

I agree with other comments that getting a neutral MK as a first QB is very difficult at our store. I'd assume it requires more spending and shorter time frame than 2 years (plus client history).

I posted earlier that I got MK at the beginning of the year. It took me about 2.5-3x with a time frame of 6-7 months to achieve this from my last QB. I also had the experience of switching SAs in between. My new SA is the one I got the MK from.
