For those who have made an appointment at the SF store recently, how long did it take to receive confirmation by email? I put in a request a week ago, for an appointment today, and have only received an email acknowledging the request that says I will receive another email once the appointment is confirmed.

Had a very lovely visit yesterday at the SF boutique. I was only planning on picking up a silk scarf I had ordered via my SA (Hermes Story scarf 90), but ended up purchasing the Ithaque throw blanket and matching pillow. I think it's more of my style than the Avalon.

I'd love to be offered a quota bag this year, but I'm honestly really enjoying visiting the store, buying things I love, chatting with my SA, and learning about the brand along the way.

Hi everyone, very new to this thread and was reading all the posts from the past. I love everyone is sooo helpful and friendly! I'm so glad that I find this place to connect with you all!

I want to share my experience and ask some questions:
I start to shop in the SF store in April and so far I have spent around 13k (Category: Plates, st.louis lamp, non-fashion jewelry, Scarf, doggie collar, and a belt). Other than the belt and the shoes, nothing is leather. My SA told me that she was going to find me something before the end of June when I spent 11k. My wishlist is k28/b30 any natural color, any hardware, togo leather. I waited for 2 weeks but heard nothing from him. My friend told me probably bc I didn't spend enough but it was so close to 1:1 to a b30 so I texted her this week and got another 2k necklace. When I went to the store and meet my SA, she told me there is no shipment lately and she's working on finding me things. Not sure if it's helpful or not to just focus on one bag at the time but I updated my wishlist to just b30 with any natural color, any hardware, togo leather. She said she'll reach out to me if she has anything.

I know patiently waiting for a quota bag is a sure thing but I just want to know if I should just trust my SA and wait? I'm super confused bc she told me she was going to find me stuff before I spent 1:1 but nothing had happened. I saw someone's post said we have to spend at least 20k to get an offer for a quota bag...

Any advice would be super helpful! This wait time is tough :\
Thank you!

What you have to keep in mind is that folks in this area are able to spend a lot…disadvantage of having a home store in the Bay Area. So not only is stock limited but that means you are competing with that many more people who have spent more and have longer relationships. I waited 5 months before I got mine and we were going in almost every 2-3 weeks. I’d say in the Bay you’re looking more at 2:1 or even 3:1 spend.

I think I would trust the SA and wait.. then maybe if in one month follow up text and ask or visit. Sounds like SA is truly waiting for shipment ?

It’s also a time of legitimately low inventory. I would believe her when she says she’s trying to get you a bag but you are asking for a popular combo (though not as popular as a 25 or mini so that’s good for you) it’s just that very few are arriving at the store and she may be getting turned down by the SM if other SAs are fighting for their own higher/longer tenured clients. I suggest being patient and just waiting and not necessarily laying on the spending imo.

I agree that most competitive US stores are now 2:1 or even 3:1 for pre spend.

Actually, even for long-standing clients, sometimes the ratio can be above 3:1 - 5:1+ as well, depending on the combo (color/size/bag style) they are waiting for. It is rare for clients nowadays to be offered B/K with only 1:1 or 2:1 spending ratio. Most are spending in excess of 2:1 - 3:1 ratio for pre-spend, for competitive stores.

Thank you for the suggestion! I'm not feeling the best when other people were saying at least to spend 1:3 or even 1:5 for the first b or k. But I'm going to just wait patiently like you said

Has anyone been able to get a black garden party from sf lately ? My SA hasn’t been responding to emails and I’ve been lazy to call. It’s seems like I’ve been getting the same response for years now about stock on non hot items.

I think we are at a disadvantage working in the SF boutique, but I know someone who spent less than 1:1 and got a B30 offer back in April (togo, neutral color in GHW too)... I don't know if that was a one-off instance and she got really lucky, but I do think it's important to be patient!

FWIW, I've spent close to 1:1 on non-leather (probably ~2:1 including leather) and my SA told me he's "working" on my QB. *shrug* Leaving it up to the Hermes gods at this point...

One question I do have you all is do you think the pre-spend needs to be from within a short period of time, or could it span over a few years? I've accepted that the pre-spend may need to be significant, but I don't believe in buying things I don't love just to satisfy the pre-spend and it takes time to find things I truly love!
