Is it weird that the price tag on a smooth/supple medium envelope bag from SaksOff5th shows $2690?

the bag is currently $3050. It appears proportional to the poudre de grain that sells $100 less. If so, the smooth/supple would have been $2,690 in May 2022…I just don’t when these supple/smooth became available.

Farfetch had a random low-priced small LouLou black w/black hardware priced at $2115 CAD (I believe that's around 1600 USD)!
I scooped it up but this is my first time ordering from FF so I'm a bit nervous.
Has anyone from US/Canada ordered bags before? Supposedly duties are included but I'm not sure about taxes?!

Anyone know why they would have such a low priced item among everything else seemingly regular? Pricing error? I would link but showing not available anymore.

My first YSL (well actually first designer bag) after 2 years of deliberations and almost giving up after these latest price increases.

So my black on black LouLou has arrived from Farfetch! Great shopping experience overall - the price paid really did include everything! One problem - the leather is a bit scratched on the bottom!
Obviously being on the bottom, it’s not visible but not what you hope to see with such an expensive purchase.
I can return/reorder or they are offering 5% to keep as is. What would you do? Not sure I want to deal with the hassle of returning.

That’s a bit more than a tiny scratch. I would return and reorder.

You got this for a much lower price right? If you can reorder and pay the same, I would reorder. Otherwise, I'd accept the 5%.

If the scratch doesn’t bother you, I’d keep it and take the 5%. The next one you get may be in even worse condition and you don’t want to get stuck on the return/reorder cycle. The scratch wouldn’t bother me since it’s on the bottom and it may get scratched with some use anyway. Maybe you can try to buff it out with some leather conditioner?

I was just disappointed to open the box and not see the bag I was expecting. There’s nothing wrong with the smooth leather, but I prefer the grained leather for that bag.

It could have been a display piece. I would keep it if the scratches are only on the bottom.

Are you in the US? If so, hard to catch a sale but you might be able to get it cheaper through an international dept store. I did see that FWRD has a preloved (I think they call it renew) medium white with silver hardware bag in "like new" condition for about $2K. They also have one more beat up for less but I wouldn't consider that one. I prefer to buy new but FWRD has good customer service so it's worth considering if you like white and it's a present for yourself. New customers can usually get 10% off through their App. If you haven't checked out the bag in person though, I recommend doing so. I have a medium one and reach for it often but it's pretty darn big. Also, some colors like black feel softer than others like white.
