Is toy loulou worth it. Im trying to decide if i should get it right now with old price
That’s a great question. Honestly, as expensive as it is at $1590, it is worth it, in my personal opinion.
My toy loulous are my most used bags for going out on weekends, trips and to run quick errands. For work, I do need a tote or spacious satchel.
I even like the toy loulou more than the puffer. It’s more versatile and frankly, more easy to maneuver.
I used to dislike the center partition, but now I like how organized it lets me be.
It’s still a mini bag. Only fits essentials but I think it’s enough space to justify the investment.
I’m actually considering getting another one today, since they’re supposed to be going up starting tomorrow. $1590 is still a price that can be justified, specially in comparison to other current designer prices. But $1850? Not so much. That’s too close to $2k for my taste. And history dictates they’re going to keep increasing these bags as they please so now is better than never.

Opinion question!

I currently have the high tribute sandals in black (regular smooth leather), white (regular smooth leather), and nude (patent). I saw the price was increased again today, but not all places have done the increases yet. I’ve patiently collected them oas I’ve found them on sale ($500 or less). Part of me wanted the black patent to have a dressier pair, but the lowest I’ve seen them in the last year+ in my size is $650 (taxes included). Should I get them? With two price increases recently I can’t imagine that I’ll find them less than $500 anymore. Or are the black leather ones I already have sufficient?

On a side note, I wouldn’t be wearing these often, and haven’t even worn the other ones yet due to being extra cautious with COVID. I just have this bad habit of needing to collect shoes that I like in every color.

Thanks everyone!

I think they're absolutely gorgeous and would get them if you can find them @ $650 given the price increases, but only if you think they would get good use given that you already have a black pair.

I’ve been watching the cash back option at Selfridges and today it’s 10% at rakuten. I purchased the toy LouLou and saved about $560 off today’s price. I figured I’ll get it now since they’ve removed all coupon options off other sites…:-s
Wow. That's an awesome deal. That Rakuten cash back really helps. Was the bag itself on sale there too?

Firstly, I understand & feel your dilemma to collect a shoe you love and contemplate a price increase!
Sounds like your plan has been to add black patent to your collection, regardless of covid. Since you don't need them right now, wait. You don't know what you'll find in the future. Markdowns traditionally begin later this month, European sites can have better promotions, etc. Retailers can have older stock they have to eliminate, regardless of the price increase. The time allows you to save more money. If you need something dressy, the nude patent can work with almost anything. (I love the patent tributes.) Good luck.

During COVID I just went into crazy buy mode. I’m trying to think more realistically and down to earth..like I have the black regular leather..do I need the patent too? Like are they a totally different shoe that will fill a void in my closet or am I just being wasteful and dumb? I hadn’t originally planned on the regular leather but just happened upon them so it through me off.

It sounds like you don't need them, especially to avoid the price increase, especially right now. While patent is dressier, your nude pair covers that. If you're the type who needs to be on the search for something and/or enjoys the challenge (I definitely am!), continue looking for the black patent at an acceptable price, knowing they're a nice to have.

I would love to not be on the hunt for things anymore..but I think you’re right, I love the challenge. Every time I knock something off the list something magically finds its way on

YSL bag advice needed!
I have been loving and lusting after the YSL denim Vinyle round bag and have been eyeing it for a while.
It's usually sold out everywhere so I know it's popular. But saw this one on Farfetch the other day and have been considering it.

But I haven't seen it IRL nor have I found reviews on it, other than the reviews on the leather version, which are very mixed since this bag seems to be too small for most current smartphones (and too small overall).

I am wondering though, if this version in the denim would be a tad more spacious, since denim is so much softer and malleable than the YSL grained leather, which I know is a bit harder.
Do any of you own this bag or have you tried it on?
Do you think it's worth the price being that it is mostly denim and probably too small to fit my phone (I have an iphone 11)?
Or is it a super cool, rare, unique bag that is worth it regardless of how small it is?
Thank you, darlings!
