Wow. That is unbelievable. I would be so angry. That is horrible service and the poorest way to handle a mistake THEY made.
This deserves many complaints and they should offer you something for your inconvenience. Ugh!
Did they ship it to you with a prepaid return label? I would call BG back and ask for a manager, tell them you're shipping it back to them on their dime and they should either send it back to you with the sensor removed or send a new one. The onus is not on you to correct their dumb mistake!
Does anyone know if Neiman Marcus will still honor the gift card amount from the gift card event if you exchange the handbag you purchased for another bag of equal or greater value?
I did something similar but it was to exchange for the same bag since the one they sent me was damaged. It was literally the most annoying process ever and took me 7 phone calls with their customer service to clear up the issue even though the first person I spoke with on the phone to process the exchange said they would “merge the exchange order and the original order” so that the gift card wasn’t impacted. But it didn’t work and I had to make a lot of follow up calls to finally get it sorted. Ridiculous.
I figured it wouldn’t be an easy process. I ordered a small black Lou Lou with black hardware and I’m just really not impressed with the bag. It looks like a returned bag and wasn’t stored properly. I am shocked since both of the Saint Laurent items I’ve purchased from them have come with the original box and packaging. I’ve never purchased from a gift card event, though. I’m very disappointed.
Yeah I got a toy Lou Lou with black hardware and it has scratches and crumbs on the inside lol.
That is so weird... I literally just emailed them since I didn't get the cash back on a bag and they told me this:

I just bought a Prada bag (Prada is on the list of bags that don't qualify for a refund) and it actually went through, I got $169 back from Rakuten. Now I'm waiting for the bag as shipping from Begdorf is horrible! Ordered on March 27th and still not received on the 11th of April. I contacted Bergdorf and they say it will be shipped out on 4/15 and that I will receive an email when they do. I had no idea it would take this long.
Rakuten has been known to remove the cash back later and say your item is ineligible. So, my fear is that it will credit to your account at the time of purchase but you might never receive the money…
Ugh that sucks! Especially since it takes so long for the money to actually get credited to your bank account - well past the return period for many stores.
