I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a beautiful dog. Please don't feel guilty for anything. It sounds like there really wasn't anything that you could have done. Take care of yourself, Shadow and your husband.

I should prolly get away from the in-laws for a bit. We are staying with them until we get on our feet out here which is now happening so going to be looking for our own place soon.
And yep, Elliot had soulful eyes. I used to look into them and tell him how pretty he was. He was a silly dog that played with bricks though (hence the scarring on his nose).
I think tomorrow I'm going to go over to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and pick up some white chocolate dipped dog treats for Shadow. I think she will enjoy them. Well, hope they have them.
