Don't know. She was still posting but so far for this collection she had only posted shoes. I decided to ask if she had something I was looking for and she told me "we lost Chanel". I was like wow.

Nordstrom in Dallas at Northpark is losing shoes (or have already). That is the only Chanel they carry though the assistant manager said they can still order RTW, shoes, and handbags for clients from other stores but no more shoes in that store!

Neiman Topanga is losing shoes as well. My SA for a good number of years texted me and she said she can't even order for me even though Neiman Beverly Hills still carries Chanel shoes.

My go to Saks Sa in PA (she was awesome, always sent pics, tracked things down, etc.) said they lost Chanel. WTF.

Yeah my home store is in within Saks now, but will be moving out at the end of next year. Seems to be a trend of moving out of department stores.

Yes, a number of Neiman Marcus stores have lost their Chanel boutiques too. Definitely seems to be the trend going forward.

Yes, that NM is the one I was referring to when my SA explained that Chanel “owns” the inventory so he can sell them obviously, but SA’s can’t get their employee discount on them unless Chanel offers it periodically. (Which often designers do for SAs)

Was the location doing well before the closure? I remember stopping by one time in 2019 or 2020 and they had a classic black/navy tweed jacket. I checked the tag and was very surprised to see it was from 2016 (don’t remember if it was SS or FW). It was on the sales rack ofc.

not closed - the Chanel is still there. I purchased two small leather goods from them last month (January 2024) remotely
