According to the response I received from RLL's corporate office, their stance is that all of their products are "100% authentic", including these Balenciagas. If you received one of these bags, you will know pretty much right away that it is not real. No real handbag made of quality Italian leather will reek of chemicals. The bag smelled like cheap "Made in China" leather, so strong that it left a smell on my hands after only handling it for a few minutes. And certain other features were just slightly off, but it does take a trained eye to detect (the biggest red flag for my bag was the chemical smell). I paid to have it professionally authenticated, and was told that it was a fake bag. Yet the response from Corporate as of this morning was still "these are 100% authentic". This presumably means that they will NOT be notifying the other buyers..... which means that there will be people out there who have shelled out $1000+ for fake merchandise. Pretty unbelievable that RLL has taken this stance. I hope word will spread because that is just not a very honest way of doing business. Good luck everyone.
That's terrible puccagirl, I'm sorry to hear this happened to you. In my book, I don't judge by how they deal with things when the order goes right (shipping on time, communication on shipping status, etc), it's how they deal with things when the order goes
wrong, and what they are willing to do to rectify a situation.
A quick update on my situation: After the first few reps told me it would state "final sale" on the site (it does not) AND on the packing slip (which corroborates the Ts&Cs on the site), another "concierge representative" emailed me stating how sorry she were for the confusion that the packing slip didn't have "final sale" on it, and how frustrated I must feel, blah blah blah. Another emailed stating that the reason it didn't state that on the slip is that the item was shipped directly from the manufacturer, and therefore would NOT state final sale, even it if was. (She suggested I "sell or re-gift it". I was not looking for advice on what to do with the item, I wanted them to honor their published policy and not try to back out! )
...so....
...the problem is that in both cases what they are justifying has happened, is in direct contradiction with the Ts&Cs on their website; and
the "from" label on the package has the same address as the TO label on the return form (the RueLaLa warehouse), so it did NOT in fact ship from the manufacturer (I checked tracking also), therefore, they lied.
In any case, it's in the hands of the CC company now. If it isn't ruled in my favor at least I've caused them enough headache to hopefully amend their policies so this doesn't happen to the next person, which will NOT be me, since I'm done with them.
