I'm so suprised! We just recently have been training the staff on customer service and what Coach expects and greeting within thirty seconds is a standard thing for us. Hey! Some of my favorite customers shop in sweat suits and work clothes, i'm a huge non judger b/c I get treated like crap in certain stores for wearing jeans/shirts.

That's really all I ask for - a greeting! ACKNOWLEDGE me as a customer at least! heheh...you dont' have to be like bath and body works and ride my bum from the moment I walk in...but just a "hi - how are ya?" greeting is all I want from these people sometimes!

I will say this...the SAs I've encountered in the outlets I've been too have been wonderful...and the girl that works at my local macy's coach counter is a sweetheart!

Of course - this time of year...I exercise patience. I know tensions are high with holiday shopping, and people take it out on the SAs sometimes. They are only doing their job the best they know how...so I lean towards cutting them slack these days!

BQueenGirl, i was thinking of printing out the pic and go there again but after all this sh*t i swear i will nvr go back again!!!

Oh Donna, too funny! and i wish i am as lucky as you:D

I only go in the Coach store to buy wallets and keycharms, I go to von maur to buy my bags because they have sales and the SAs there are so polite and well trained.

Every time I walk in my local coach store I cant wait to GEFO of there lol.:yucky:

ITA! i don't think it's so difficult to do so:confused1:

sparkles48, thank you for the information on that bag, so nice of you:smile1:

ms-whitney, what you said make so much sense... they are just lack of common sense and manners :s

i wonder sometimes where do they get those girls every time i walk in there.

I don't want to start anything but i'm just curious as to what this comment meant since "those girls" includes me and I don't see what we do wrong in my store at least, we greet customers and creater conversations- we don't generally even talk about the product until it's brought up by the customer.:shrugs:

that's only recently. have you met katherine yet?

before if you remember it was all about the product push.

anyways i actually seperate myself from "those girls" because maybe i'm just being thickheaded but i don't think of myself at all like what others have described.

i'm not pushy. i will acknowledge you and i've gotten compliments about what a "great seller" i am, which has been voiced to my manager too because it's all about having fun and being friendly with the customers.

and i'm sure you're that way too. so you shouldn't take offense. it's only offensive if some part of you thought it was true.

you have to admit, not every system is perfect, they just happen to get burnt by those who don't know better and really should be fired if not reprimanded.

i'm sure those impolite SAs are only the minority and most of them are still nice and polite. so please don't get offended as i'm sure BQueenGirl is refering to the few SAs that weren't too nice to her and not the rest of the SAs:sweatdrop: i wish i was lucky enough to have those nice and sweet SAs to talk to me that day:sad:

Yeah, I hated product push but I never really "did it" I guess since I am just like you said - casual and I have fun with my customers.

I haven't met Katherine but we had a fun Donna visit about customer service, sales leader role and etc.

I wasn't really offended, moreso just curious since there was no real explanation as to who they meant (I know some girls have commented they don't want anyone to talk to them or anything, y'know?).

I know my store as at least 1 super pushy SA and we have been riding her lately because it's not our thing to be like that, sure we have to make numbers at the end of the month but it's not the end of the world.

^^The area I live does have some SAs like that.. which is why I wished I lived in MI to visit sprinkles! Although I've only contacted the store via phone you girls are the sweetest and most considerate. I basically now will just order, see some bags at bloomies, and just avoid the coach stores around here.

hello everyone, although it was a bad experience in coach and i was not very happy that day... but luckily i have you gals over here to listen to me and being so understanding:smile1: i feel so much better and just want to say that tPF members are the sweetests and thank you to all of you:flowers:

When I go in there, I will just be looking, and I feel alot of pressure to buy something. Someone will always come up to me and say "what are you looking for today", and I will just say "just looking", and they will not leave me alone for one minute and say oh this wallet would look great with your bag do you want it etc..... and I say yes I am looking at wallets but just looking today. It is very intimidating for me because I just want to look if someone is constantly in my face when I am going from one thing to another going "do you want that" , or "is that what you are looking for today" I get really uncomfortable because I often go to look at things before I make a decision. I honestly feel that I cannot walk in that store in my area without someone putting high pressure on me.

Wheras when I go to macys or von maur they will say "let me know if I can help you" and then let me look if I want to see something answer a question.

I am sorry that one or two people are ruining it for all of you because honestly I feel too intimidated to walk in there most of the time now and I am sure many of you are nice but its the pushy ones that are driving me and other customers out.
