A good number of the SA's at Coach South Coast Plaza are very rude, thats one of the reasons I dont buy Coach anymore.

And some arent very bright either. We wanted 2 pairs of sunglasses in July and the only 2 that were left had rhinestones missing, so they had to order them. I paid for 2 pairs and we picked them up a few days later. That was in July. 3 weeks ago I get a box from fedex with 2 brand new pairs of sunglasses in it! No receipt no nothing. I called my CC company to make sure I wasnt charged again...I wasnt. I went there to return them to tell them they made a mistake. NO ONE could figure it out and 2 girls looked at me liked I was speaking jibberish!... Finally after a half hour I left WITH the sunglasses. Looks like we got 2 pairs of very expensive sunglasses for free. idiots. (not all of them are, just most of them)

some SAs are snobby, yes.
but each customer has a different need- some like to be given attention as soon as they walk in, and then others hate the attention. I think thats the main problem, the SA not knowing how to handle a customer, which is understandable, he/she doesn't know the customer, and just trying to do their job and thats how they know how to.

I'm sorry - I felt like wearing jeans and a hoodie today...does that make me avoidable? Does that scream "I'M TOO POOR TO SPEND MONEY HERE - I'M JUST TOUCH ALL THE EXPENSIVE STUFF AND LEAVE". I swear...I walk in carrying a $375 Coach bag, wander around for nearly 20 minutes (in a small store mind you), with NO OTHER CUSTOMERS in there...and you can't even say "good morning" to me?

I'm so suprised! We just recently have been training the staff on customer service and what Coach expects and greeting within thirty seconds is a standard thing for us. Hey! Some of my favorite customers shop in sweat suits and work clothes, i'm a huge non judger b/c I get treated like crap in certain stores for wearing jeans/shirts.

Ms. Whitney- I actually do believe there is a write up form for rude behavior, I was browsing through them one day to get knowledgable about how to fill them out when I was training for management and I do recall seeing something of the sort.

I am so sorry this happened to you, I usually go in wearing casual clothes and always get 3 SAs asking to help me. I think it really depends on the training, and how their day is going. Everyone has a bad day now and then.

Where do you live? There are two SA's at the boca raton Coach boutique who are amazing. Ill give you their names if you are local.

too bad i'm staying in malaysia. the boutique is located in KLCC if you know where it is. it's one of the land mark in the capital in malaysia. somehow i feel some of the SAs in asia have this kind of attitude problem:yucky:

Wonder if it was a seasonal employee--newbies that are just hired for the holiday season, may not put as much effort into being helpful.

i remember the first SA told me that she only work for coach for six months so don't expect her to know alot:wtf: and the other SA she claimed that she has been working there for years and her attitude was even worse:hysteric: :yucky:

BQueenGirl, i was thinking of printing out the pic and go there again but after all this sh*t i swear i will nvr go back again!!!

Oh Donna, too funny! and i wish i am as lucky as you:D

that is just a stupid excuse

as for the comment on seasonal newbies....we get shopped every month, secret shopper, and i did ask my manager what about the seasonals? should they be expected to score 100% on it?

the answer is yes! we don't just hire anyone, or we're not suppose to, among the many applicants we get we also have managers that go "recruiting".

the end process for seasonals is that while we don't expect them to be "immediate" top sellers, we do expect them to treat customers with the respect they deserve. and by that i mean, be nice to them as long as they are nice to you. if they are rude, then the usual protocol is to leave them alone and let them shop w/o help until they ask.

that's not very hard and it frustrates me when people don't understand this concept, thank God so far we've hired nice people.

if you don't know something (this is more directed to those particular SAs that were rude, and i know it sounds silly since they aren't on this forum but..) then you'd ask the manager or another associate

sometimes the managers ask me questions! and vice versa.

common sense. that's how i explain it, they lack common sense and manners =P

If this is the bag you're talking about you definitely won't find it in stores anymore. They had the chenille optic signature line out a while ago and they pop up in the outlets and TJMaxx stores randomly every now and then, but the boutiques will definitely not have them right now. You can try calling Coach at 1-800-262-6224 and ask them to look up style# 8F52 to see if they have any left in their warehouses.
