The gorgeous barenia/canvas bag with the gold bar that you saw is called the Sillage. I was thrilled when I saw it just sitting out on display in the Nice store last summer. I had never heard of it or seen it anywhere before, but it was unique and practical and modestly priced (for an Hermes bag), so of course I grabbed it! It traveled back nicely in my carry-on. I had to research it when I came back home. There is very little about it anywhere and I still have not seen another, but it's super nice and I plan to bring it with me when I travel to Italy this spring. Did you get it too? Are we twins on this exclusive bag? :smile1:

I can't believe I finally have a name for that elusive bag!!!! It was absolutely gorgeous and I was so tempted to purchase it, especially at such a great price. I'm actually kicking myself that I didn't pick it up. However, I had just gotten my anemone Birkin and had spent a ton of money already while on vacations so I didn't have the funds at that time :(

Now that I know the name, I will be on the lookout for another one as it was gorgeous!! Do you mind posting a picture of your beauty?? I think people here would really appreciate it, I know I would!!

+1 on the photo/reveal/new thread on the Sillage. They are beautiful and what a pretty name.

Anyone recently score a B/K in Rome/Milan store? How big is the chances to get a birkin/kelly in here? Do I need to spend a certain amount to be offered or can I just do a walk in? Really want to get either a birkin/kelly due to my recent unsuccessful trip in paris! Please advice! Thanks. :)

My sis in law was at the Rome store before Christmas and the stocks were dismal. No B/K/C/L, tool box or even Bolide. She managed to get a Jypsiere and Rodeo.

Thanks for the reply! I went to paris before christmas, though so many tpfers score a B/K in FSH I didn't manage to score one. So, I was hoping to get one for my next trip in italy. ;)

Hermes Rome actually has good stock but is notoriously difficult to buy sought-after bags from, like kellys and birkins. I was considered a "local" since I was a former resident for a few years but they still reserve the better bags and colours for long-time Rome customers or the well connected fashion crowd.

Was there over the summer and it was packed. Good stock but definitely no B's and K's. They were basically turning down everyone who asked (I didn't ask but heard others). Same with Florence and Venice.

I would say impossible if you're not a local regular customer!

Oh no that's too bad! How about other italy cities? Any recommendation? :graucho::graucho:

I just did Rome and found the Via Condotti store to have excellent service and a pretty decent selection, although its a very small store, considering its Rome. They did have some amazing bags, even on display. Although I didn't ask, my sense was its like all the others boutiques. They want to invest the best selection in their local clientele who spend across multiple product lines. I think there are better stores for walk-in type opportunities.

I did see last summer in the Rome boutique in Via Condotti a Black Kelly Lakis sitting on the shelves to be sold, they keep the Birkins hidden in the back for their local customers, same thing in Milan. Unless tons of H fairy dust is sprinkled on one, the chances I must say a pretty low, Paris would be your best bet but often that doesn't happen for most people - Naples on the other hand, I find was more accommodating in terms of Birkins, they actually offered me one, but bare in mind, I'm from Italy (and moved to Paris, six months ago)...

Here's a photo of the Sillage bag you saw in Riome. It's the first time I'm posting a photo, so I hope it works.

I will be going italy in summer

Wondering where will have the highest chances to landing a Lindy 30 ?

Rome - Florence - Venice - Milan will be my stops

Lindys are not as difficult to find compared to birkins and kellys. Rome and Milan would probably have better inventory but I imagine you would not have a difficult time getting a lindy by the time you leave Italy.
