Sorry for digging up an older post, but I would so appreciate if you gave us a little info about your experience at the Naples location. I am headed there this spring and hope to score my first Birkin. While I don't live in Italy, I am fluent. Any tips or particular SA recommendations would be awesome!

H Napoli doesn't have the best inventory but on the upside, there's less competition for bags!

I was just in the Hermes in Piazza Spagna and there were lots of bags on display. There was a B30 (I believe that was the size) in red. The bag had a display only sign in front. The staff was very helpful and gave me a rain cover for my new HAC40.

Can you tell me the weather in Rome at the moment? I will be in Rome first week of May and then Capri the week after��. Thanks

The Birkin on display is a 35 in the new Rouge H (much better than the previous Rouge H, there is less brown).

The weather has been beautiful, but I still carry a light jacket and scarf in case it gets a little windy. However, don't be like me and make sure you do bring walking shoes if you plan to do a lot of sightseeing. Hope this helps!

Hi fellow TPFers! I was just in Paris FSH and didn't score a Birkin or Kelly after 4 days, but several came the morning I left. Now I am looking forward to my next trip to Italy over the summer. I know summer means less hope. Which Italian city gives hope to walk-in for Birkin and Kelly?

I believe none of the stores will offer walk-ins any B/ K unless you are a local. You will have to be a mega spender first or a regular.

I went to Venice, Rome, Milan and Florence and while I didn't ask, there were several tourists who asked while I was there and were turned down. The SA in Florence told me people ask all the time but they reserve their bags for regulars.

I know it all boils down to luck and I guess I got lucky in Rome for the second time. That is I was lucky to be offered a bag because I passed on it. :( kicking myself still but I feel I made the right choice. I was looking at another bag when I told the SA that I'm not quite sure if I like it and she asked why and I said I'm hoping to get another bag in Paris. She asked what bag I wanted and I told her I wanted a K32 or K28 in a neutral color. She laughed and said they barely even get any 28s "it is impossible" she said but she smiled and winked at me and told me to wait a second. She went out with a sad face though saying she thought they still had the bag but if I wanted to see the other then she can show me. I said ok and she brought out a bright red (sorry i don't know what the exact color is) k32 but bright reds just don't work on me so i had to say no. I was in shock but so happy to know it is not impossible to get a k in italy!

Yes you were VERY lucky! I don't know how long ago this was, but I know that they have recently restricted even more sales of Bs and Ks to walk in customers. But there's no harm in trying....;)
