I just read somewhere that Hermes in FSH makes 55% of their total sales with clients from Asia...

They also reported that they sell the same volume to ASIA clients in ASIA, and outside of ASIA, if that makes any sense....

all data refering to countries of residence in ASIA

Hi all,

Haven't posted in a LONG time! :p

I love going to the Hermes stores on my trips anywhere in the states or overseas. I have read in this thread about the Hermes stores not treating Asians very well. I have bought something in every Hermes store I've visited on vacation and have always been treated well. I am a very laid-back Asian women that dresses modestly and casually nice. I live in the US (born and raised).

Just want to let you know my experience in Italy.

Rome airport - has two Hermes stores and I was treated EXTREMELY well in both. I wasn't really looking for a bag. Didn't get one on this trip. I was looking for the Gallop ring or bracelet, a CDC cuff (non-exotic)/ Kelly Extreme Cuff, and a Cashmere scarf with the Horseshoes (forgot the name). Got the scarf there the first day of my travels and was very HAPPY!!!

Venice- again was treated very will!! was shown the ring, but it was too big and a CDC red croc with gold hardware. Not an exotic person, but they pulled it out from the drawer. Only white on display. Almost got the cuff, but not what I was looking for and left earlier than I thought, so I didn't get the cuff.

Florence- again treated extremely well. There were some Asians in the back buying some bags, but I don't think K/B's....Looked like a lindy. Got my Gallop bracelet here and had to put on hold, b/c I had a museum tour to catch. Went back and she was so nice. Also gave us of samples of our perfume that my husband and I use. Saw another CDC cuff, but not the color. It was on hold for me, and was a PM.

Rome- I thought I was on a roll on service and nice SAs.....BOY WAS I
"WRONG":nogood: Went to the smaller Hermes store by the Spanish steps, and they sent over a very young Asian SA, and I asked for any CDC and she said no but try coming back tomorrow morning. She was nicer in saying "NO" than the other bigger store SA. The other store she just quickly with a very haughty voice, NO, and NO, and NO! I was kinda pissed, but should have expected it. I didn't get anything and didn't want to force it. At the smaller store, there was a red croc Lindy, and a croc Birkin or HC? I didn't want to bring home any exotics and my husband was like....you are going to be in other cities in the near future to find the right CDC. I left and was kinda disappointed, but ran into a Lauradee and got a keychain/bag tag to make up for the obviously rejection that I felt and received.

I just want to let you all know how I felt. Never felt like that before, but I guess always a first. The Rome store did mention, even if there was a CDC cuff, it may be reserved for a customer. So they are selective there. Sucks, but that is the breaks!

Done venting, but there was not that much feedback re:Italy in this section, and these experiences just happened! So GOOD LUCK to all that go to these stores.;)

The store in Via Condotti near the Spanish steps is the bigger one, the small one is in Via Campo Marzio, near the Parlament.

I'm going to Italy next summer and will be in Milan, Rome, Florence and Venice. Does anyone know which Hermes is the biggest with the most selection of scarves? I'm mostly looking for a scarf as a souvenir. I work near the Hermes Madison and my husband works near Hermes Wall Street but I like to pick up scarves while on vacation as souvenirs.

New to H and my mom and sister and I are going to Italy for the holidays. We are starting in Milan and then Florence and Rome, maybe a couple other stops. Any advice about H shopping in any of those places? Any particularly warm SA's? I am hoping to find a mini constance, but I know they are nearly impossible.

Hi, this is just my experience so it may have been different from others :) the Milan store I would say has the lowest stock, might be due to different factors but out of the 3 cities that's what I observed. The Florence store is ok, the SAs were friendly, the leather bags weren't on display. Mostly canvas. But after a while they showed us a So Kelly and a GP. As for Rome, the shop near the Spanish Steps had a lot if bags on display. If you get lucky, the SA will offer to sell you a bag. Saw 2 women buying a b and a k but they looked like locals. Also, SAS here were less accommodating than the other shop. The other shop is smaller, less inventory on display but SAs were friendlier. Again, others might have experienced different service (I'm surr some ladies have had more luck haha)

Hope you have a great trip!!

Will be in Rome and Venice in 3 wks. Wanted to know if anyone has had recent good experience B hunting there. This will be the last part of my Italy trip with husb and 2 kids.

Usually if I go shopping, I go by myself or w/ my little daughter Wanted to know if I should send my husband in first to scout out B, or should I just go in myself.

Also, I have been worried to travel w/ my B to Italy. I have been using my B for recent trips to Paris and Ireland. I use it everyday in NY. Wondering if this would be ill advised for our Italian trip. We're traveling to Venice, Tuscany and Rome.

Thanks for any input.
