Rome and Milan

I am currently in Rome and had very good experience in the store, although didn’t buy anything for myself. I went for the first time on Saturday, and served by a nice lady. She immediately take the Birkins on display for me to try on. When I asked her if they sell one of this to tourists, she told me to come back on Monday or Tuesday, but didn’t turn me down at all. She then insisted to walk me through the store, which I find very beautifully organized. I tried to find couple of shoes but they didn’t have any on my size. My boyfriend then bought a tie at the end as the SA has tried really hard. Unfortunately she is on holiday from Monday.
So today I came back to the store, and served by a nice gentleman. I told him about what the other SA mentioned on sat, and he said outright sorry we only operate by wishlist for B/K/C. I then asked for mini bolide because I really like them, and he said he will go to have look. He didn’t have any, but brought back two bags. One is bolide 27 in deep blue with GHW, the other is Roulis 23 in black with champagne hardware. Roulis is very beautiful but too big for me so I turned it down. He said he will have look further to see if there is any other interesting bags, and came back with another two! This time is a crossbody casual bag (can’t remember the name) in a colour that I have asked for craie mixed with nata, but the bag is not my style! The other is a mini verrou in black box leather with champagne gold. I loved the bag, but I already have one in blue electric, and is not cheap at all (€6900) so I didn’t buy it!

All in all, it was a very positive experience. I believe that they would sell me any bags they have if it’s not B/K/C. All the SAs tried their best to sell, and we had nice long chats about H and their leather. The gentleman told me at the end that he appreciated my love for the brand!

For B's and K's there's a whilst since they reopened after Covid-19, for C's there's no Wishlist, they usually sell it to those who ask, but then I guess it's probably for locals only.. I bought a C24 in black beginning of August, and was able to choose between the black one and another one with brown trimmings and corduroy (both 24)

I also got my Constance (also black 24) without waitlist, as local loyal customer and was waitlisted for a Kelly. I assumed the waitlist included C18, because they are hard to get and usually sold out. But I never asked about C18 as I rather wanted a C24. More precisely I was seduced to buy a C24. I did not know I wanted one until I tried it out.

why don't you ask your friend for the SA info that put your bag on the waitlist? She should have the info and then you can call the store up about the incident. I don't think any random SA can help you on your case.

Was there two weeks ago and stopped by the store in Rome and asked for a picotin 18. I was offered one in a pink/lilac colored but ultimately chose the framboise color because it had darker leather on the inside of the handles. Also stopped by the store in Florence and Venice. In my opinion, Rome was the nicest and most inviting.

Was at Milan yesterday and my god, these people there are so unfriendly and snotty, to say the least. I am relatively new to H, but I’ve been a luxury goods shopper for well over 15 years and never ever have I been treated that way!! I myself have worked with wealthy customers for 16 years and if I would have treated them like the SA treated me, I would have been fired for damn sure.

they wouldn’t even give me their card, even though I asked very politely she said flat out no. This is just one example of her behavior towards me.

I think that maybe H’s understanding of customer service differs from mine, but this really put me off the brand.

allegedly I am still on the waitlist for a B30, but they “don’t have any in stock” - lol and 1min later a different SA carries a few Bs back To the stock room after another customer rejected them.

yeah maybe I am just naive because even at Chanel or any other brand, I was treated better.

will visit H in Florence and Venice and maybe their SAs are different.

So sorry to hear that! I’m a regular customer in that store and all I can say is that all the SAs were always very nice and polite to me, even if they were not my SA…
I can also tell you that, in my experience, Milan SAs are kinder that the Venice ones…
I hope you’ll have a better experience in Florence!

Maybe they treated me like that because I am not a regular customer - on the flip site, if they treat every new customer like that, they won’t get any new customers…

I was raised to be a very polite person, and I was dressed in a beautiful sun dress with a Chloe De Nile bag and Moschino shoes…the only thing that could be “off putting” is that I am covered in tattoos, but in the year 2021 - this should not be a problem, or should it? I cannot understand how they could treat me like this. As somebody who works with wealthy people (in the financial services sector) - I just can’t put my head around it. I am very disappointed. I don’t expect to score a B in any other store in Italy, but I am curious if they all treat me in the same way…if so then maybe H is just not for me…I am just very down right now :(
