Why do you think ballon bleu won't look good in your 60s?

hokaplan -I prefer to dress according to my age, so I think Ballon Bleu doesn't suit my style when I'm in my 60s. I don't want to hear comments like 'she should be dressing her age'.

my 1st watch is Omega Constellation midsize.

nvie, I have the same opinion, the Ballon Bleu is beautiful and classic too, but it may not be as classic as the Rolex and JLC of my choices.

hmm...I think for me, both Rolex and JLC are equally nice. Rolex is 2-tone, while JLC is rectangle shape and with diamonds, also something different from my current watch. I tried on JLC, love it instantly especially when the SA changed it to black leather, it changes to another style - casual & chic. And when wear it with black or silver satin strap with black & diamonds face, it so glamour and elegant.

I haven't tried on this Rolex because I have seen it on my friend's wrist. May be I should try on to feel it myself. Just one concern on this Rolex, would the scratches on the domed bazel and oyster bracelet can be seen easily?

hooooiling - I have an Omega Constellation Ladies SS MOP dial with Diamond Markers and 4 diamonds on the bezel and my second watch is a Rolex Lady Datejust in Rolesor jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel with MOP dial and diamond markers.

Since this is your second watch, go for the two-tone or Rolesor bracelet so that you can match with gold and white gold jewellery. Then JLC for your third watch. Try out the Rolex.

Yes, scratches can be easily seen on oyster bracelet and domed bezel compared to jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel.

Oh, I forgot to add that my Omega is in polished steel and I can just see scratches a foot away! That's the reason why I opted for jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel. However, I still love my Omega and it gets the most wear compared to the Rolex.

I prefer the look of the Cartier and Rolex over the JLC. Definitely try on a Rolex to see if you like the weight and feel. Personally, I would choose Rolex over Cartier. Choose the one you love the most.

Rolex. prices increase over time and it hold up resale value. I would pick jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel though.

I am torn! I haven't got chance to try on Rolex (next trip down to City will be end Oct), I am very much keen on JLC now. Should I wait till I put on the Rolesor first or I should decide on JLC now? DH is in City today, feel like asking him to bring back JLC...But the rationale side of me saying I should try on Rolex first..

I know not many people prefer it but I really like Jaeger. That is the watch I bean eying for years and I like that is so versatile. I would choose that one over the others.

personally as a first 'investment' watch I say Rolex. as a second one for eves i just got a cartier tank but definitely first the rolex.

I love my JLC. I have the stainless Reverso. I love it!
