Hello rogue experts. I have some questions about a older rogue 30 that I just purchased from poshmark. Compared it to my rogue 25 I Noticed that there is no “1941 with X”stamped underneath the leather piece where he zipper is sewn on. And there is no key ring inside of the “key fob”. Can someone please help me to clear my doubts?

It would probably be best to post this in the authentication thread but I do know that that creed looks like one from the first generation Rogues. They did not have the 1941 stamping under the zipper leather trim like the later ones do. Does your bag have a lock on it? Inside that leather key fob there should be a key for the lock.

MFF ROGUE UPDATE!

Went to my outlet today and couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw a black rogue 17 in the front of the store! Opened it up and what do you know it had an F on the creed! The style number is F22978. I’ve never held a full price 17 so I can’t do a direct comparison, I’d say it looked similar quality to my other Rogues but the leather felt a bit more plastic-y?

And one of the SA mentioned to me they were getting their own MFF Rogues and she brought out 2 to show me. I couldn’t get a good pic, sorry they were kind of stalking me so I messed up and only got the side of the bag lol It is a Rogue Shoulder Bag in Midnight Navy with gray suede interior. Bottom of the bag had the pebbled glovetanned leather stamp. Although like the 17 leather felt not as nice as my full price Rogues. The hardware and suede appeared to be like the full price versions. It was very lightweight. She also brought out a heather gray caviar leather (?) version. It had the C chain details on the straps and oxblood smooth leather side pockets. They had the canvas interior with zipper pocket and snap pocket. Sorry did not get a pic of that one. I didn’t get a pic of either price tag but price was $595 I believe, I’m guessing they’ll be half off at first?

It was dark and I didn’t want to fondle them too long haha but they felt like an in between MFF and full price bag. It will be interesting to see if they do any rogue 30s. I’m guessing the shoulder bags are just easier and cheaper to produce. IMG_9037.JPGIMG_9038.JPGIMG_9040.JPGIMG_9039.JPG

I have no words for this. It's a good thing I moved on from Rogues a while ago.

Not happy. [emoji82]

I’m disappointed for sure but not surprised. I’ve loved the direction full price was moving in. The brand feels very elevated. This is such a weird decision.

Maybe rogue sales are down and they’ll be discontinued at full price soon?

I think Rogues have had a good run and sales have probabaly fatigued. It would just be nice to let the style go out with some dignity instead of going to a MFF version.

I agree, this style really seemed to excite people. I only got back into Coach a year ago and it was the Rogue that brought me back! I own a bunch now and have my eye on a couple more (just waiting for them to go on sale [emoji23]). But if they do discontinue them and they go to MFF I’ll be happy with what I have.

I'm done they are completely devalued now

Totally agreed about the dignity thing. Bags get phased out and that's fine, but wouldn't it have been better for the brand maybe to just sell all the stock on sale and quietly let it go, rather than cheapen it? And then they could've reintroduced a new gorgeous it-bag with great quality, and buyers would've continued trusting their brand?

Actually, I think the retail rogues especially the first generation and maybe a few seasons after that will be valued more since they are more substantial bags with real quality. I haven't seen the MFF ones yet. But if I'm going to be looking for a rogue on a resale site, it is going to be one of the older models.
