Same the handles bugged me! Not that they were short, but because they were soft leather. I dunno. Is that a thing now?
Having no structure in the handle seems "lesser" to me. But I don't know if that's a valid thought.

I actually do like the Dreamer though, other than the handles. It borrows a lot of elements from the Rogue: the little flaps at the ends of the zippers, the strip of leather under the feet. I wonder if the initial 1941 release was actually a better quality than the current version though?

I feel the same way about the handles on the Dreamer! I like a structured handle or ones that stay up (example being my Charlie, the handles are “soft” but stay upright). I think the Dreamer has a lot of the details from Rogues that I like but the handles stop me.

On the fence. I'm gonna ponder it for a couple days & see. I don't have a true red bag & I do love the color.
I agree with Syren - Dreamer is clearly their new "it" bag. It just doesn't appeal to me.

It seems like they’re not releasing as many colors for Rogues. I don’t know if that’s just my perception or not, and it seems like they’re trying to push the Dreamer as THE bag. But ... quit trying to make fetch happen, it’s not gonna happen! [emoji23]

Agreed! The sizing of the dreamer reminds me of the swagger- the regular size is too small & the large size is too big! The regular rogue is juuust right [emoji16]
Dreamer is pretty but it doesn’t even compare to the rogue (IMO).

I am pretty sure I have decided to send back the sequin Rogue 25. In the end it would probably sit on the shelf which is too much $ not to be used. But I am also pretty sure I am going to keep the ruby one when it gets here. I have no red bags except the Murphy I just rehabbed. Here's hoping the Rogue will be beautiful. I may have ordered the sky colored 25 though.

You are in my head, girl! I have decided to keep Ruby. I wouldn't have if I paid full price but I didn't so...:-)
I've also considered Sky...but haven't pulled trigger yet. Debating Ice Pink reg sz also...

I would not pay full price for it either but I cannot find any pics anywhere of the Sky rogue except at Coach. Blue is my color and red a close second.

Is it crazy that I really want the rose gold one? I love those handles. The sequin one is too fancy for what I wear yet I love the rose gold. LOL.

I'll probably be at my local store this weekend. Do you want me to take pics if they have the Sky one? I have seen IRL & the Coach photos of this color are pretty accurate.

Funny that the 25 has a color called Sky. I thought you meant the KH regular size with the heart which is called Sky Blue. I'd say the KH Sky Blue is true to IRL - of course, monitors differ. I had ordered the KH Rogue 25 a few months ago and I wound up receiving the regular size KH in this Sky Blue. I debated on keeping it. It is kind of a fun bag to kick around the weekend with and I think the world needs more love so the heart says that to me. The grey smoke one I wanted was out of stock and now I see it is available again. I'll wait until outlet to see if I can get a better deal if I really have to have it or the regular sized Sky Blue one. I may have changed my mind, as we sometimes do!

I actually like the Dreamer handles because they take up less space and "flop" down better to not be as intrusive. I am finding the Dreamer to be an easier bag to use the more I use it, over the Rogue. I find I will use the Rogue a couple of days and find the need to switch out, whereas the Dreamer lasts a little bit longer before I decide to change bags. I think it is just easier to get into the Dreamer with the way it expands open so nicely while also remaining as a slimmer bag than the Rogue.

Soooooo, I got my Ruby Rogue 25 from the latest sale today. This is my first Rogue from the MOST RECENT offerings. I already have a 2nd gen black, olive regular sz & beatnik & oxblood 25s that are a couple years old.
I was struck by a few things which I thought I'd share...
First, although seeming to come from JAX, had a Coach New York dust bag, not a 1941 one. Hmmmm...
Second, the handles on this bag are much thinner than any other Rogue I have.
Lastly, the leather is just not near as pebbled & supple as much of my other 1941 items. Seemed thinner & a bit "dry" looking.
The leather quality is the saddest for me. The other things I can deal with given the sale price but if these changes are things we are seeing all the way around, why isn't the price reflective of that (dare I say cheaper)?
Is my logic or experience off? Welcome your thoughts!
Well my ruby Rogue came today and I am quite unhappy with it. If I had gotten it on the FOS for the $178 it might not be too bad but at $297 no way. It is far and away more inferior to the others I have in looks, feel, and quality. Looks like I'd better think harder about keeping the sequin one because this red one is going back. I hope this isn't the road they are going down. Or would they make Rogues for the outlet? The handle rivets on the red one are not mounted evenly with the Coach wording spun around askew. I checked my others and they are all mounted with the wording directly up and down. And yes a Coach New York dust bag.

Hmmmm....sorry to hear! I'll have to inspect mine a bit more when I get home. It's still wrapped up.

I am not in love with the color as much as I thought I would be either. Does it look a bit orangey hue to you? It was such a let down when I was excited to get it, so I know I have to send it back. I think the right red will be hard for me to find. Not too pink and not too orange.

Okay, I'm home. Took another look at mine. I still think I'm keeping it. I've never really looked at the little rivets that attach the handles to see whether they're all uniform. Mine aren't on this bag but it's not a deal-breaker for me. The gift bag I placed this next to has red tissue paper in it and to my eye, the tissue paper looks more orange than the bag. I'm still going to ponder it but 90% sure I'm keeping it. If I do return it, it would only be due to the complete contrast in the type of leather from front to back. The front of my bag is nice and pebbly and the other side actually could pass for paper as it lacks so much depth.
My bag does have the 1941 stamp on it so clearly it's still a 1941 piece. However, although it's a minor detail, I'm really irritated about the coach New York satin bag. I wanted a 1941 bag. It's going to be the multiplication of all of these little details that a lot of us are noticing that is going to take Coach in the wrong direction for me.

I understand. It just doesn't feel as nice as the other ones to me. Maybe I am being too picky but I have bought quite a bit in the past few months and shouldn't keep anything I am not in love with. I am glad you like yours.

That is sad to hear about the Ruby Rogues!

I was not planning on it but today I purchased a rogue from the 50% off sale because I was able to score it for an extra 20% off. It is an older one so I’m hoping the leather will be as nice as my others, it has the clochette, and hopefully comes with a 1941 bag. I agree about the dustbag, I like the cotton bags much more. Seeing and hearing about the differences in the newer Rogues pushed me over into purchasing today.

This may be my last Rogue, but that’s probably a good thing lol
