Have you guys noticed that new rogues do not have the same leather smell as the previous generations including rogue satchels. Also, I have noticed that Oxblood lining has specific smell I won’t say it’s bad but but I noticed that I have to air out my rogues with Oxblood lining every two weeks if I don’t use them

Do you mean oxblood suede lining? My peony has oxblood lining and I have not noticed a smell.

There have been others who reported newer rogues are lighter than older rogues, so maybe leather isn’t quite as thick? I only have the peony so can’t compare.

Yes, I meant Oxblood suede lining. I only notice the smell when my bags are stored for awhile. When I use them I don’t smell anything. I store my other rogues the same way and for long period time and they don’t have that smell.

I was at the store last night and honestly, I was a bit disappointed with how the leather looked on the rogues on sale. They seem to be more prone to wrinkling and are softer so get more slouchy but not in a good way - more in a cheap leather way. I saw the washed red and the marine and was disappointed with how sloppy they looked like the quality in general (leather and sewing) have gone down. There were spots where the leather looked buckled near the side seam like the sewing was poor. I don't remember this on the older generation rogues.

Not to mention the coated hardware on a lot of bags recently...oi. I thought that was only a black copper phenomenon, but seems that way now with brass too; doesn't look like most things are old brass nowadays.

Coach seems to raise their prices but gets cheaper with quality. I saw the newer Edie in the store and that, too, felt cheap. Almost like it was plasticky leather and not nice glovetanned leather. I was surprised, though, that I liked the Cooper! I saw it initially in the grey suede and didn't care for it but the black and bordeaux? color in smooth glovetanned are substantial and elegant! I didn't see it in the marine which is part of the SAS but I think in this style, I'd like a more classic color. I'm leaning toward the bordeaux with black being a second choice. I really don't have any black sophisticated work bags. Personally, I don't consider the rogue a bag that goes well with suits say in a financial industry. I feel the pebbled leather is a more casual look but that is my opinion.

Did you see any double swaggers? Don't have any stores near by, but seems like it's nice from the reviews here. I love the navy cooper with the studded borders too; after getting a regular rogue and feeling it too small though, I need to stay away from medium sized bags! Getting another bandit may be overkill...

My local store had one double swagger and I was glad to see it. I was curious about it myself. It looks a little wide on the models but not that wide in person but guess it depends on you! I'm not a stick model size but I'd say average. I think the measurements online are off. I think the center section measurement is the same as a regular rogue. I think the measurements online don't include a measurement for the side part that juts out so it is a bit wider than the rogue. I don't have a job where I go to the office every day now so it is too structured for me on a non-work basis.

I was surprised I liked the Cooper, honestly. Even though I consider the Cooper a more structured bag I'd mostly carry to the office, I'd still buy it before I think I'd consider the double swagger. I like the simplicity of the Cooper and the minimal design details. The two straps that close the bag may drive me crazy but if I keep them in the back section while I'm out and about, it will be OK and then i can use it to close the bag when I want. They do add a nice design detail.

I like the Bandit for casual days. I think oxblood may be my next one unless I can find a steel blue one that I believe was sold out last SAS. I have it in black w/ metal tea roses, chalk, dark turquoise, oak suede, dusty pink with tea rose side and the multi colored one (goldenrod, oxblood and a bright blue color). I like being able to mix and match the inner pouches amongst my bags to create a whole different look and especially using the tea rose pouches.

Love it!
I checked with my SA and she said this one is still full price. Did you get this with a PCE coupon? If not, do you mind sharing which store is including it in the SAS.

Before the summer sale opened on Wednesday may 23rd, I received an early access email on Monday may 21st, when I checked coach.com this bag was on sale and I ordered it right away, luckily I did because the next day it was back to regular price.

Yes! It was just my luck that the rogue 36 all had glitchy metal clips for the shoulder straps that wouldn't open nicely; and now that the rogues seem to have fixed the problem, then plated hardware galore! Maybe a MTO is the only way to get the 36 now...
I'm glad I purchased a black Rogue in the first release. Hardware still looks great, and the leather is wonderful. I like the lock and key and wish the Rogue still had them.

Thank you! I think we have similar tastes; the cooper did appeal to me, but if I were to get it I would probably keep the straps on the back like you say. The double swagger intrigued me, mostly because of positive reviews on the quality here in the forum. But if I think of the regular rogue as being on the small side, I would probably feel the same way about the double swagger and Cooper!

And I totally missed out on how awesome the bandit is until this sale! You're like the queen of bandit; it would be lovely to see your collection! The steel blue looks nice, but a lot of the colors I avoided because of that black copper hardware. Then it seems Coach is plating everything nowadays, so it makes no difference lol. I was impressed/happy to see how big the inner pouch is! Can definitely use it as a small weekend bag by itself. Sad Coach is discontinuing it already!

I think they may be coming out with something a little different so let's hope it is even better! I know the inner pouch was an issue for a lot of people. It doesn't bother me too much but things do get trapped at the very bottom under the pouch.

I'm aiming to leave only the larger items out, and shove all the loose stuff in the pouch! Hoping that'll avoid the issue.
